I got a missed call from that number, and when I called back I got an automated message saying that my call couldn't be completed to the number as dialed. I automatically blocked the number in my phone.

Its a student loan consolidation place.

If it is a student loan consolidation place and legit why are they calling from a non existent area code?  To me using a faked number screams scam

Calls my cell phone but does not leave a message. I read several comments saying its a student loan place, but I never took out student loans.

It's a student aid forgiveness place. It's not a scam, but phone number is odd. Not sure what to think of that.

I got a call from this number; they said they were the Student Loan Forgiveness Center.  I asked who they were calling and they gave my name.  When I told them I didn't have any student loans, they apologized and hung up.  Question to me is how they got my name and number in the first place?  I've never taken out any student loans.....EVER.

I got a call from this number and although I did take out a student loan, IT'S BEEN COMPLETELY PAID OFF ALREADY!

They didn't leave a message. I never had a student loan in my life although I went to college and have 2 degrees.  They should not be calling me anyway.

it i itially was a robo-call so i went through the call so i could get to an operator. it put me on hold, while i waited i had to listen to the same 10 note song with the occasional robot voice "your call is very important to us", and after 30 minutes it said goodbye and hung up. i wanted to tell them that I'm on the National Do Not Call list. called back and got same "unable to complete your call" message as others have. i mean, c'mon! if you can't call a number that comes up on your ID, it's a scam people. oh ya, i don't have any student loans so that's another tip off that its a scam. im sure they eventually get the person with student loans, but back to the number that came up on the ID. if you can't call it back, it's a scam!

Called my phone and it rang twice before hanging up. Looked up # and it's a spam call. Blocking #.

Got a call, no message, this am.  I don't usually get repeated spam calls from SAME number, seems they're all from diff. area codes---AND usually bunched up.  Like, I wont get any for awhile, then boom, 10 calls in one week.  If there's ever a recorded message, its always about "student loans".  I think someone actually DID use my # while looking into s.l. debt.  This has been on-going since I got the cell # 2 years ago.   Fun stuff.  Can't BLOCK the #, because its NEVER THE SAME ONE!

They call me 3-4 times a day .... I want them to stop calling me

Got a call from this number and an hour and 6 minutes later I get a call from 631-223-4242.  From the comments here, both claim to be student loan consolidation companies.  I am getting tired of these calls!

(400) 200-1006 this mumber shows up on my cell phone and I do not recognize it so I did not feel pressured to answer or call back they are operating on the same lines as the chumney sweep companies wsnting to clean your chimney ....... welp I do not have a chimney nor do I have a student loan........just do not answerand any voicemail greeting never give iut your first and last name.......that works for me......ummmm who cares they are trying to make money.......they will not be getting a dime from me!

Didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up, but I have had so many calls to consolidate my student loans. They need to stop already. I've already blocked so many of these numbers.

They called and hung up on me. If they are a loan collection company I am not happy because my number was given out by somebody with a different area code. she put down my area code with her phone number and I have been getting collection calls for almost 2 years now!!
