The authorities know about this felon but they do nothing. What really pisses me off is the fact that our law enforcers do nothing to stop this telephone crime. Apparently the FBI is using all their assets to investigate global warming. You can report these crooks: I fell for that gag: It’s just a waste of time because the authorities do nothing to stop the caller. I don’t even answer my land line any more: That phone line has become totally useless because of all the criminal callers. I have a call blocker: Yes I fell for that gag too: The criminals just use a different number the next time they call. Caller ID has become useless as well: The crooks simply provide a fake phone number. I have gotten calls that show my own number as being the caller.  I get caller ID numbers showing that the call came from a nearby town when it actually came from a distant state. I even got a caller ID number of the bank where I have accounts. I face this serious criminal activity every day but hear nothing on the news.

I gotten a call a few moments ago from  401-343-9764 telling me that I been approve for a 0% interest rate on all my credit cards cause I made on time payments to them. I decided to hang up on them cause I know it is a scam. If it wasn't they wouldn't say approve for all my credit cards like really knowing that I have 3 different credit cards from 3 different people.

I got 401-343-9764 on cell (iphn)  didnt answer - I have quit answering ALL out-of-town-#'s (unless i have relative/friend there). If they know yr #, they can text u if emerg. Or keep callg. These creeps might call rt back once, but usually not 3X in row.

Above person is right - Caller ID IS USELESS NOW. Apps can spoof other numbers. I bet if we added the president's name to every one of these complaints, and therefore the NSA had to read each one, it would STOP IT ALL. Or if we put: "President Trump" "Iran" "passport" "9/11" - smthg like that - without the " "'s... the NSA wd have to read every one., & see that the Amer ppl are being INUNDATED with SPAM, and (hopefully) DO SOMETHING. I am. (Just DID) but will cont. to.!!

Got this call while at lunch at work. The same BS about excellent credit, and offering lower credit card rates.  This is ridiculous. Blocked and reported, not that it matters.

Hope Valley, RI.  So happy these fools call.  The whole scammerverse would be laughable were it not intrusive and would there not be people out there who fall for this crap.  Blocking and reporting is equally laughable.

Agreed on all your points except for the call blocker app. I paid once and didn't fall for the scam to pay a monthly fee.

I did need to root my Android phone but now my phone only rings in the caller is in my address book.

All other calls go to voice mail and my phone doesn't ring. I do accept texts from numbers not in my address book.

I block Anonymous / Unknown / Calls with letters in their phone number. Those parasites get a disconnected message if they call and those texts are blocked.

And a feature I don't use is wildcards.

The information is out their to make your phone number yours again. I've had the same mobile number since 2002.

Now I believe all the features this app does should be done by the operating system whether it's Apple or Android. Only accepting calls if someone is in your address book was a feature on my old Motorola RAZR ten years ago.
