- Stacy| 1 replyUnknown number to me, left no message.
- PaulJust called and I didn't pick up since it's an unfamiliar number. There was no message.
- wendy| 21 repliesI answered just in case and it was someone from Elite Planning Group who is apparently a company that helps lower your interest rates on your credit cards according to a federal stimulus.
I wasted 30 minutes of my time talking to them, feeling very uncomfortable no matter how many times they told me it was a legit company and the call was being "federally recorded." Everything seemed mostly fine, until a man name Christopher White (license # TC3131) started getting rude with me when I expressed how uncomfortable I was with what they were pitching.
Though he kept telling me that I would save x number of dollars on my credit card balance with a lower interest rate, they would still be charging my card $898. Regardless of how much I'd save on interest, I was not comfortable with that and asked to see something in writing. I had to repeated tell him that I was not going to agree to anything over the phone and he kept pressuring me. Finally I said, "Okay, now you're just annoying me because you won't take NO for an answer" He responded with "Well, Miss, quite frankly you're annoying me now too." What a jerk!
When I told him "If you think I'm an idiot for passing this up, so be it, but I will not agree to this over the phone." he responded with "Well I think I'm going to opt out of this conversation." I said "Good" and i hung up.
I don't care how legit of a company they may be, that phone call and his terrible customer service skills made me so angry I'm still shook up from it an hour later.- Caller: Elite Planning Group
- jenUnknown number to me, left no message.
- KarenThey just called us. Claimed to be from "Cardmember Services" He gave the first couple lines of the pitch about the lower rates, and then asked me who I was. I said, you called me, wouldn't you know who you're calling? He gave a name, which was my significant other, (they called my cell # with his name so they may be using some kind of TMobile list). Anyway, I handed him the phone. They started asking him how much money he had in all his accounts, and telling him he could save on interest. They asked if he paid his cards off every month (he doesn't have any credit cards, not sure he's ever had one). Lots of nosy questions about personal financial information. He responded with, "what company is this" and they hung up.
He felt that it was either a phishing scam or a collector trying to gather information. Based on other reports from this number I'd lean towards scam/phishing operation.- Call type: Telemarketer
- TrishaThey called and I didn't answer since it's an unrecognized phone #. They left a message but didn't actually say anything. When I returned the call from a different phone, I got a message saying "the number you have reached is not in service". Really, they just called me from there. What a scam.
- Trisha replies to wendyI Googled Elite Planning Group and what I found was they're a wedding consulting company in Delaware. Not quite the company they were claiming to be and the phone number was completely different. I didn't look much further. I commend you for standing up to him.
- K MatthewsI received a call from 401-757-3220 and an automated message said, "Press one if you want to lower your interest rates!" I pressed one only to find out which company was calling and obviously they are pitching a scam because when I was put through to an "agent" and I asked what company it was they immediately hung up! So rude!

- BillyJust got a call from the same number.... I used the reverse lookup app on my phone and found it to be Elite Planning, so googled it and found this site as the first listing for info.
With my phone call... the line was dead on the other end. Looking at these comments, it seems as though they prey on women who answer the call. If a guy answers, the conversation never goes further. Looks like a scam in progress to me!- Caller: Elite Planning
- Wendy replies to wendy| 13 repliesAre you kidding me?! They just called me again. When I pressed 1 to talk to a live person I asked them to take me off of their call list and the "lady" hung up on me. I will refrain from using the word I want to use...
Yesterday I felt like an idiot, now I'm just angry. - JohnSame telemarketing pitch as noted - claiming to lower interest rates. Since this is my government issued BlackBerry I pressed 1, a guy started to pitch me. As soon as I asked him his name - he hung up. Very unprofessional. Need to see if I can add this BB ph# to the do not call registry.

- KittyI did ask them nicely to stop calling and they hang up. They call right back within 24 hrs. I am already on the National Do Not Call List but they just keep on calling. Would really like to not be bothered by These people. I don't have any credit cards that require your services. If I want someone to steal my identity I can just leave my wallet out on the street, I don't need to give the info to someone over the phone. I mean really does your mother know what you do for a living? A real company doesn't hide behind fake phone numbers. That's what they are called Scams... Oh the other word for Scams are Thieves... Thou Shalt Not Steal. Get a Conscience!!!

- jgi am getting this call too. I have an AT&T cell with 808 area code. They never leave a message and I don't answer the calls so I can't say who it is.
- Caller: I don't know.
- Frances SimmonsFirst I get a call and it is a recording . This was not the first time this has happened so I pushed one to speak to someone and have them take me off their calling list, only to be hung up on when I asked how they got my number in the first place.
- Caller: Credit services
- Call type: Debt collector
- HonuI'm in Hawai'i and have been receiving calls from this number for several days but did not answer until today. It was credit card fraud, a threatening recorded message stating final warning or my credit card account would be closed. I hung up but am sure they request credit card info to "correct" the problem. They don't identify themselves nor state which credit card they want information for. HANG UP or don't answer.
- Caller: They did not say
- CI have an 808 area code too and have gotten several calls from this number and another 401 area code. I haven't answered any of the times they have called and the same number has also called my husbands cell with the same area code.
