Called and disconnected when answered

I called the number back and it was something political. the recording gave a website address, I haven't looked at it yet, but it's really annoying since all my numbers have been re-registered on the DO NOT CALL LIST...

I went to web address and entered the site and there is a contact us link that has another link to be taken off of their calling list.

This company called and asked for my son -- instead of calling for Daniel  he asked for Danielle -- a girl's name.  He was not very polite and was rather rude. I asked what he needed and if he wanted to leave a message and he hung up.

the caller did not immediately respond when I answered; when SHE did, she asked for my husband.  When I told her he wasn't available and could I take a message, she said, "There is no message," and hung up immediately.

Just want stupid numbers blocked ok

This is Chad the guy who posted this. This is the number someone called me. It is someone tryin to get you to vote, so get on the called block list.

I received two calls from that number as well.  I called it back today and it was silent for about 30 seconds, then started ringing and a message came on.  It's a company called Call Meyer and they do political surveys and other surveys.  It said you could visit their website, www.callmeyer.com to be removed from the calling list.  I did and clicked on Contact Us and filled out a do not call form.  Hopefully it works.  I hate survey calls.

Caller said they are representing Nebraska democratic party..... Kind of rude.

party called asked for me by name, said yes, this is -----------.he was calling for contribution to Obama something, I thought "he is allready in White House" what does he need extra money for, could I give a contribution of $100, I said no, I am on fixed income, & he said he understood, his family is on fixed income & by end of month they are out of money, could I send $50, they would mail me inf in the mail, I said no I could not, he then asked if could send $35, I said "you do not understand, I cannot send you any money, thankyou for calling & hung up. Obama is allready where he needs to be, does he know this is going on. I am sure not,as he would put a stop to them....

This number has called ours several (5+) times.  When we actually answer, there is no one there and then it hangs up.  That is probably the most annoying.

I picked up, since the caller ID was Bellevue, NE, and I live in Nebraska.  I thought it might possibly be someone I know.  But when there was a couple of seconds with no response to my hello, I hung up, knowing it was some kind of electronic call.

Calls daily from this number - when I wait for a response, no one is there, must be on a dialer.  Would be great if all solicitation including non profits and politicals had to respect the DO-NOT-CALL list!!!!

I agree, I wish all survey and donation seeking places could be blocked on National do not call list.  So many of these donation seeking people are scams anyway.  Has been calling me a lot lately so I went to the website listed above and registered do not call.  Thank you to the above for sharing this.

I normally don't answer numbers I don't recognize but my son was out with friends so I thought maybe it was him calling (local number) and I answered.  After a lengthy pause, a lady asked to speak with Karen.  I told her there was nobody here by that name and she said she must have the wrong number and thanked me.  I hope they don't call back now...
