Called and verified the name of my business and address. Then asked who the owner/manager was. Said they were updating info for the Chamber of Commerce. She said "thank you for your time," then hung up. Definitely not with the CoC.

Called my office, asked me to confirm the name of our company, who our owner was and how many employees we had. When I answered (which I wished I hadn't), I said who is this? She just said thank you for your time and hung up, never saying who she was. I tried to call the number back and it just rings with no one answering.

Girl called and asked for info such as business name and owner name, when asked her who she was she said chamber of commerce, thank you, and hung up on me

Called and asked me to verify name of business and address. I did. She asked who owner was. I asked who she was and she said Chamber of Commerce. She asked again if she could get name of owner. I told her "no" and hung up.

Just got a call from them.....very fishy.....

Same call, same number.  Google search shows American Chamber of Commerce is in Virginia, not Nebraska.  The number traces back to a Nebraska company called Gotleib Eminent Domain services.  Either American Chamber of Commerce is using a spoofed Caller ID (unlikely), Gotleib is using a false pretense to get information (not sure but their website is cheaply done), or some third party is lying about their phone number and name both.  

Either way there is someone lying and if they're lying it's no one I would bother talking to.  

Same number has called twice, first time I wasn't available to answer, searched to see who it was and in the meantime they tried to call again, after reading this, didn't answer

Received a call from this number.  Wanted to verify the name and address of our business and who our manager was.  I asked who was calling, she reply the Chamber of Commerce. And hung up on me.

Called four times in one morning - always hung up when I answered - call back gets
a outbound number only - leave message to be removed from list - why don't they
get a real job ??!!!!!

I'm the owner of Gitleib, unfortunately this is no longer my number.  

I emailed the American Chamber of Commerce and they said that number is not affiliated with their organization. They will let people within their office know that people are using their company name.

Called and asked me to verify name of business and address. I did verify the address. She asked who owner was. I asked who she was and she said Chamber of Commerce. She asked again if she could get name of owner. I told her "no" and hung up.

There is nothing you can do to stop these calls so just have fun playing with them.  One fun thing to do is to get them on the phone and then ask them to hold on for a second, put the phone down and see how long they will wait before hanging up.  See how much of THEIR time you can waste.

I called the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and they said it is not one of their numbers, that it is a cell phone.  It is not a prefix of a land line phone.  They did not sanction anyone to make calls on their behalf so be careful not to give out information.  I called the number and it says you can leave your number for a do not call, but it sounds homemade not professional.

got the same call multiple times, they never leave a message and when I answer they usually hang up or if they don't, they tell me they are from the C of C... ask the same questions as everyone else has said... we're a new business and have been receiving tons of calls from there and many other numbers asking for us to verify our business name and address... and who owns it... really getting sick of it.

I received a call from this number today 4/17/14 at work - they asked to verify my address (she had our old business address), asked who the owner was (me, but I refused to give my name), and asked how many employees we had. I said, you're in Nebraska, so what the hell are you talking about? She said that she's working for our local chamber updating our information for their webpage. I said, really, who's working over there today & since when does the local chamber not know how many employees we have? (Since the chamber is RIGHT NEXT DOOR in a town of 750 people!). She quickly said 'thank you for your time' - I told her if she ever called back, my attorney would be up her ass like she wouldn't believe.
SPAM CRANK CALL - DO NOT ANSWER. I now have them blocked.

Your attorney just won't be up anybody's ass.  But that's a good story.

Guy called and said "is this ----- auto parts" he sounded like he was eating a carmel apple. I said no this is a wharehouse and he said he must have wrong number and hung up.

These Omaha, Nebraska as another company of telemarketers are so rude when their automatic recording machines make these outgoing calls and never accept incoming calls!
