They collect money as donations.

The Nebraska Fraternal Order of Police is one of several law enforcement groups using paid telemarketers for fundraising. It collects about $75,000 a year.

John Francavilla is the State President Nebraska Fraternal Order of Police. His email address is OmahaFOP@aol.com. It looks like a legit Organization. The only red flag here is the aol.com address. Matter of fact- All the officers of this organization contacts are either aol.com or Yahoo.com.  They should be using the XXX@nebraskafop.org format to lend more credibility.

They have been calling despite a "NO" from me and they are now calling my daughter's cel phone.  When I confronted them about how they got the numbers (we are on the do not call list, unlisted, etc.) he said they are calling every number in Nebraska.  I told him they can't do that and he said they weren't breaking any laws.  I said "Ok, let me talk to your supervisor."  He said he didn't have to do that and hung up.  They picked the wrong guy on this one.  Let's see if we can bring them down.

Their calls are permitted by law because they are a charitable organization, exempted from Do Not Call regulations the same as political organizations and telephone surveys.

Most likely scam.  The guy asked for money & when I asked for information to be mailed to me so I could be sure it was legit, he replied he would but it would help them more if I could donate via phone so that it saved them the money it takes to mail that information and also implied by donating via mail, that money wouldn't go to my local law enforcement.  I stated again that I would donate if that information was mailed to me and the gentleman asked for my name & address and promptly hung up after his last attempt -again- at getting my credit card information and I politely said no.

I answer they hang up, call very early in the morning, or late at night & weekends.

I did some research, and discovered that the number is associated with a company called "Customer Service Feature Films, Omaha" and you'll get the same number (402) 691-6201 as the contact number. The same as "FOP".

I don't answer these calls.  When I check my caller id, I see that they are calling at least once a day.  Sometimes they are calling more than once an hour.  It's a shame that the Do Not Call list doesn't cover these people.

They call my house repeatedly. I am not home very much since I work all the time so my babysitter is constantly asking them if I could call them back in between jobs. They just state that they are Fraternal order of police and will call back later.

We've gotten two of these calls.  I answered the second one and could barely hear the person.  When I said I can't hear you he just said sorry and hung up.  So I came in here and see I'm not alone in this.

I've never gotten calls from this organization.  I've always gotten something in the mail for donations.  So I'm not giving them anything over the phone.

Phone calls early (8:01am) morning, by the time I find my cell phone and answer, never anyone there.  I got a cell phone for emergency calls, but now I am cancelling my cell phone because of these calls.  Seems strange that this agency can obtain cell phone numbers.

The man caller asked for the lady of the house in a very intimidating tone of voice. Then he hang up. Extremely rude!!! Not the proper way for a 'charitable cause' to be asking for donation.

I also recieved repeated calls, and they would not listen when requested to have number added to do not call list.
I called 1-877-632-1367 as suggested above, and a very nice gentleman appologized and said he would remove my number and let the agency know they need to do better.

Check your local phone service or your phone itself to see if you 'block' this phone number.  That's what I did.

I too was getting several calls per week from this number.  Now that I know who it is, I have blocked the number.

They call us all the time, but only want to speak to my husband. Now they are starting to use an unlisted number (916-1970) to call us. Really poor practices I think.
