Got a call this morning, asked name and hung up....

Repeat calls - Nebraska 402-715-9242.  Never leaves a message.

I've gotten a number of calls.  My voicemail picks up but there is no message left.  Finally got fed up and called them.  They are an organization that does fundraising for charities.  I figured it had to be something like that since we're on the DNC lists.  I told them to remove my number from their system so hopefully that will be the end of that.

Received a call from them. The woman said she was from Childrens Wish or something like that. At first I thought she said she was from Dish, and when I said I am happy with their competition, she got arrogant and said she was not from Dish but Childrens Wish Network, I told her that although it may be a very worthy charity, I barely make ends meet and cannot make a donation in any amount, I then wished her a good day and closed the connection.

Received a call JUly 17, 2010 at 9:21 am; I answered and the lady said Ms. C? I answered " Yes" then she said " This is just a courtesy call- I'll call back".  I said "Hello who is this and she hung up. I called the number back and there is no answer. I too am on the no call list and I get just as many calls as before.

I received a voice mail this morning and the number on my caller id was this number, but the caller claimed to be a Jim Kennedy with the Consumer Protection Agency in Washington DC.  He claims that I won a significant amount of money, but I am very suspicious.

I received the same call and they said it was make a wish foundation.   I said okay I wish the f--- you wouldn't call anymore.   Will see.

08/06/2010: Whoever the "woman jerk" was that called me this morning, I told her that I had already reported their SCAM to the Federal Communications Commission and NEVER call me again. The caller ID reads "NEBRASKA". Wonder if the State of Nebraska is aware of this!

I just cannot post this in enough places.  If you believe they are not a valid charity or if they say they are anything but a charity and you want to take care of these people, report it to the FCC; it takes a couple of minutes and it is conveniently online. I believe these are definitely scammers since the Omaha Make a Wish Foundation's number is: (402) 333-8999 and none of the other Nebraska chapters have a number that is even close to the one on my caller ID. These [***] are giving this legitimate charity a bad reputation when they do this type of crap.

I also got this call with caller ID reading Nebraska.  I did not answer and they hung up.

Just got a call as well. I don't answer the phone from numbers I don't recognize with the exception of 3 area codes (family). A search led me here, and of course no message was left.

Stop calling me!! You call at least 5 times a day.

This number called me every morning for 2 weeks, I finally called back the the operator identified herself as "fundraising center" and was very nice about removing my number. She didn't even try to talk me into donating.

Once again, this number called, and when I answered, there was no one there.  I finally dialed it back, and after 34 rings, got "customer service"  at which point I politely but emphatically asked that they remove my number from whatever automated system they are using as I am NOT going to contribute to any charity unless they are going to contribute to ME!  They hung up on me!!

Got a call around 8:14 PM from this number. I am also on DNC although that hasn't really stopped anyone but I have gotten less. A lady called from the Childrens Wish foundation and said it has to do with children with less than a year to live. The 2nd sentence she said was to put my name down for donation and I promptly said No firmly. She hung up right away and I couldn't even get to ask any questions about the legitmacy of their program. Shady people. Hopefully they won't call again.

Number comes up on ID as "Nebraska". Several calls, no message left. Have tried to call them back but either it is busy or no answer.

Called at 10:19 AM today.  When I answered on about the 3.rd or 4th ring there was noone on the line.  Caller id only said "NEBRASKA".

If you have a powerful handgun, take the phone out in the back yard, set on the ground and discharge the gun next to the phone (dont shoot the phone). Make sure to have the barrel close to the talking part of the phone. They wont call you back ass their ears will probobly be bleeding due to bursted eardrums. Had several annoying solicitors stopped that way.
