These calls come in but no message is left.  If the number is called back, the phone just rings and there is no answer.

Caller ID said Nebraska. This is from someone trying to get you to donate to some sort of Women's Breast Cancer organization. They had been using an 800 number out of Wyoming, but obviously that scam was blown up and they had to move. They want to mail you an envelope and get you to donate at least $15. Lets hope the folks in Nebraska catch on and kick them to the curb also.

I got a call on Thursday, Aug. 12 @11:50 a.m. When I answered, no one responded so I just hung up.  The caller ID said "Nebraska" and that was all.

I initially received a call marked "out of area" that I answered since that's sometimes what displays when several friends call us from their cellphones. Instead it was a woman who claimed to be from some sort of Child Wish foundation (she didn't say Make A Wish) that was collecting donations for terminally ill children to give them a last wish. She spoke very fast and said they were calling to see if they could "send envelopes out to us", and when I said sure, she said she needed to know what I wanted to donate so they could add a tax credit in the envelope credited to that amount. She said someone would be calling me back to collect my "full address just in case". Thankfully, I didn't give her any personal information, and when the call came a few minutes later, it was from this number and just listed as "Nebraska". Seems like a scam to me. I didn't answer.

Got a call from this number marked "NEBRASKA" on caller ID at exactly 4:00PM on 08/31/2010.  I did not pick up since I do not answer numbers that I do not recognize.  Thanks to everyone else for the information!

I have received numerous calls from this number (marked 'NEBRASKA') and there is never an answer when I pick up, after reading these posts, I went back to check as far back as I could in my caller ID file and every day for the past 4 days between 8:30 and 10:35 AM I have received a call from this number; I certainly will not waste my time picking up the phone in the future.

robo call,often no message left. often no one on line if I "happen" to answer it, on the occasoins that I do actually speak to a person,they know my name, and it's usually solicitation  for a charity.. I'm fairly easygoing and respond. "Sorry, I'm sufficiently obligated".  these calls,I'm led to believe , although irksome,are legal.
and yes, I am on the do not call list. and yes, I feel that most are a scam.,and yes, it's a tough world out there.

I didn't answer the phone but called back using the caller ID. A friendly operator(not a recording) answered: "Operator number 7, can I help you?" - When I asked "Is this another scam?", she politely said: "Can you wait a moment,please?"... That's when I hung up.

Charities are exempt from the Do Not Call list law.

Most charities that use telemarketing firms the charity only gets about 30% of your donation.  The firm doing the calling keeps 70% to cover their expenses.

A lot of telemarketing firms are based in Nebraska.  Our accents are easy to understand no matter what part of the US you live in.  And we have great telephone service.

They've been calling me every morning for months. I finally called back today, got operator number 7 and had our number removed. It's a 'charity organization', but it seemed off, she was in a big hurry to get off the phone.

I have been getting calls from this number from two to 5 times a day for the past 6 weeks or longer.  I never answer and they never leave a message.  This is pure harassment! They call at night and on Sundays.  I wish I knew who to report this to and how to get off their list.  I may try the operator 7 thing.

Tired of the harassment two and three times a day.  I will not answer your calls, so take my name off your list.  If you don't, I'm reporting you to the phone company.

Have gotten several calls, days in a row, no message left

Have been receiving daily calls from this number for quite a while.  I have told them twice to stop calling so today I told them flat out to stop harassing us with these phone calls.  The female on the line told me I didn't have to be rude--that this number was a trunk line used by a lot of different charities to request donations.  I told her we were getting tired of daily calls when we have specifically told them to stop.  She indicated she would take our number off the call list.  I don't really believe that will happen, but we shall see.  I don't really see legitimate charities harassing potential donors like this.

I received a call from these people too. The caller ID says Nebraska and they left no message.

We keep getting calls from this number too...and they get upset when we say don't call again, what can we do to stop this!

This phone number has made several calls to my phone number and not body talks or no message is left

Received a call this morning but couldn't answer the phone.  They called at 9:01 this morning and left no message.  Called them back and this woman told me that they call for several charities on their list.  I asked them which charity they called about and she waited a few seconds and then hung up on me.  Thought that was extremely odd and went to check out the number and found that the call came from Omahau, Nebraska.  Sounds like a big time scam to me.  After reading all these messages I can only assume one would have to be an idiot to give them or anyone else their address.  If it was a real organization they would already have your address on their list.  I can only say Never ever whether legit or not DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR ADDRESS TO ANYONE CALLING.

The calls are getting VERY VERY VERY OLD...usually there is no one there IF I answer, call SEVERAL times a week, if not every day.
