- pec replies to MJ| 4 repliesI answered the call, recorded message wanting to lower my credit card interest rates.. push 1 to continue OR push 2 to no longer receive these calls.. of course I pushed 2 but wondering if that was even the right thing to do? I am suppose to be on no call list for my cell
- Leandra| 1 replyStarted with a recorded message saying that there was nothing wrong with my credit card account but that I could lower the interest rate. then there was an option to be removed from receiving these "important notifications" by dialing 2. When I did so and asked to be removed from their list, the person on the other line immediately hung up.

- JohnCalled my Cell to lower interest rates. URGENT! Last Chance. Press 1 for help lowering my interest rates. I pressed one and said you just called my cell phone and I am on the do not caller list. The person hung up.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RJ replies to pecYes, most states have a do not call for cells. You should be on it.
- Tommyjust called me. Everyone flood there lines
- JoeyDee replies to pec| 2 repliesDo Not Call lists are useless in these cases because the calls originate in other countries where the rules don't apply. The callers are trying to scam. For your cell phone, if it's a smartphone, go to the app store and search for CALL BLOCKER. There are several that work very well. When one of these calls comes in, often with one or two taps you can block the caller and with the right settings, the call won't even roll over to voice mail.
- plujakThe Fed Do Not Call system does 1 thing well...it sucks. Nearly every reputable cell phone carrier will allow you, in some way, to block incoming voice and text. Most cell phones above the very basic will let you assign "no ringer" to a number. Sprint (mine) allows me to block any number or text using their online system. Been doing it for years. After the first call, I'm never bothered again. Check your carrier out. You may be pleasantly surprised. If not, switch to Sprint.
- Caller: credit card scam

- pec replies to JoeyDee| 1 replyDon't these callers use different numbers? BTW thanks for the info for the app. Im headed there now

- ME TOOyUP, GOT A CALL NO MESSAGE
- BPWDid not answer call, then called back from my work # and there was no answer, this is so annoying
- Caller: Credit Card Services - Heather
- JoeyDee replies to pecYes, they use different numbers, and it's annoying to keep adding numbers to your blocked list, but in my case after installing Whitepages Caller ID on my Android about two months ago, the calls eventually tapered off, and I rarely get any now, because my number has been yielding no results for anyone.
The app is so much fun to use that I almost look forward to a fake call coming in so I can BLOCK THE #@$@#$ out of it! :)
