Rose - 29 Aug 2007My phone bill says I called this number, but I never did. When I called the phone company they said that I had to have called it from my home phone. I have no idea what this number is for, but the call cost me $7.

dibs - 29 Feb 2008I have received 3 different emails saying the same thing, supposedly from Paypal.. but in the "To" of the email, it isn't my email address. I set up a paypal account a long time ago and only used it once or twice. Forgot the password so on Paypal site I tried a password retrieva, but they never sent me my password. On the site there is no way to email contact them only the 402-935-2050 #. I see from a previous entry here that someone did call and got a $7 phone bill for doing that. Glad I saw that cuz I almost called to figure it out. I am just going to block the address of the emails.. has to be a scam.

patricia - 8 Aug 2008I got this number billed on my phone bill just this nmonth, and didn't recognize it so I googled it, and found this info here. However, I did make a couple of phone calls to Paypal, so I would say this is an authentic phone number for a genuine business.

Arkansas Target - 11 Mar 2008FYI, I googled this number and it apparently IS a real PayPal number--it's turned up on several anti-PayPal sites as part of legitimate contact information for them. Well, they might have called my husband...they likely never think he sends them enough money for his PayPal account (although he just sent them a pretty good sized amount). Could be a spoof, but they're using a real contact number, apparently. It showed up on our bill as being out of Omaha, NE. Fortunately, we only got charged a little over $2.00 for it.

patoz - 8 Aug 2008Just got my phone bill with a $1.56 charge for a long distance call on 06-24-08 to 402-935-2050 in Omaha, NE. I also have a PayPal account, but have never called them for anything.
