This number is NOT a fraud.  I'll admit, that at first, I was suspicious because I have experienced fraud in the past.  But with only about a minute of investigation, I was able to match this charge to a receipt that I had kept.  Lesson?  You must keep all your credit card receipts, big or small, and double check them.  It takes time, but it's worth it...you catch fraud when it happens, and you avoid accusing others of fraud when it's a legitimate charge.

I noticed a recent charge of PAYPAL *OUTDOORSJ32 402-935-7733 CA from my checking acct. I will be calling as yes I have made purchases through Paypal  BUT not with that checking acct. Paypal is link to one checking acct and only one. Where the charge came from was not that checking acct. Si I would have to assume this is not right. I hate to see people automatically judge people on here. Just because your case was legit doesn't mean they all are!!

My checking account was charged $9 from paypal filesonic 4029357733. There was also another purchase made it was mobihand. Not sure what that is and I don't have a paypal account so I called my bank and reported it as fraud. They said they will file for fraud and investigate it. Also, I haven't used my checking account for MONTHS and I only had a dollar in it. And no, I did not lose my debit card I have it with me. I'm just trying to figure out how they manage to buy stuff using my chk account???

I had a call from this number today - I'm in the UK.  Didn't answer.  I rarely give out my mobile number but it is in the "business information" section of my Ebay listings and, as I'm new to this Ebay, would I be right to be suspicious that this is some sort of "ploy" to get newbies to give out info?  I've bought and sold on Ebay for years, I buy under one ID and sell under another but use the same paypal account for both.  I haven't had any "dodgy" transactions from my account but have changed Ebay and PayPal passwords to be sure.  Not done the obvious "click on this link" from emails so I can only assume that some sort of newbie business phishing scam is going on through Ebay as there's no other way they could get my phone number.  Needless to say, I won't be answering.  I've logged onto my PayPal and all seems to be in order, surely if it was urgent, they'd flag something up in there for me to contact them?  I've not made any large transactions so can't see why they would need to check these??

The number is valid. They called to verify a payment. I called customer service and they verified that the 7733 number is indeed valid.

I did not get a call from this number, but on my VISA statement was a charge from "PAYPAL TRIEFTALLIA 402-935-7733 CA".  I hadn't made a purchase from my Paypal account.  I called the number (which is the Paypal customer service number), thinking someone had fraudently used my Paypal account, and I found that it was a legitimate charge.  It was for an EFT conference at Alliant University, and the conference uses Paypal Plus as their credit card platform.  My wife had used our card to register for the conference.  Paypal had the full name of the vendor, which cleared up everything.  No fraud, no conspiracy, great customer service/detective work by Paypal.

I got a similar charge and found out from Paypal that the vendor uses Paypal Plus as its credit card platform.  It wasn't linked to my Paypal account.

There are several people on here saying that the number is from Nebraska, but on my account it says its from California. So how can you have the same number in two different places at once that doesnt really make much sence. Not to mention I have looked all over eBay and Paypal and only found this number here for Customer Support 1-402-935-2050 there is no other number listed.

This is spam.  I went directly to paypal through a link I personally typed in to get the correct paypal phone number.  it is 402-935-2050.  They asked me to forward the email to spoof@paypal.com  They told me it was fraudulent.

Thanks God there is internet! That number bothered me for days because I don't know anyone from Nebraska, and I spent days trying to contact that number(which is unsuccessful and can't even get through it) because when they called me about three (3) times, I was either asleep or too busy to attend to my personal phone.  I do have a Paypal and it made sense after reading all these comments.

I got several phone calls from this number. First I didn't pick up, and then I called the number back. From the phone recording, it showed that this number belongs to Paypal. However, the second time I pickep up my phone. The person who I was talking to was a male, sounded like Asian. He was looking for someone named Mr. xxx (I forgot). He didn't say that he was a Paypal representative. Since I am not the person he was looking for, I told him that he got a wrong number. Then he apologized and said he would revise the information in his phone book and erase my number from his phone directory.
Then I suddenly remember that I got the same person called me looking for the same name about 2 months ago. They called 2 days in a row in the morning, first an Asian male, 2nd day a woman. And I remember I told the woman the same answer that I wasn't the person she was looking for, and she apologized and mentioned that she would revise my phone information in her phone directory.

What the h is this?? Who are they? I am very sure they intentionally put their caller ID as Paypal number to deceive people??

do u have apps on your phone? the same appeared on my statement and it was paypal when i downloaded a app on my cell

i seen the same charge on my phone..it was a company that uses paypal for payments..i had downloaded an app from my phone and it was paid through paypal....so it is legit

this number and  402-935-7733  and 423-517-7064 are both scamers for sure

look, out of ALL customer service reps, talk to a PayPal one and you will be happy, they are the only ones i don't cringe when i talk to them, without question,  am not even going to check, as i believe they are paypal

This number is legitimate.
I called and recording said that I reached Pay Pal Customer Service.
