Call said it was, "calling to confirm that there are no problems with my credit card."  I don't have a credit card!

The number they called (my number) was published on one website on the internet as part of a business.  Also, the phone is a recently activated Tracphone.  This should help people track down where they got the numbers.  They're either mining them on Google or they have a scam going on with Tracphone.  

The call then went on to allow me to connect to a live operator by pressing #9.  

The "operator" sounded like some thug on the other end of the phone, slowly (and stupidly) drooling out a "hello."

I mentioned I was not happy with the call.  His response??

"This is Experian."  Yeah... right!

Anyway, when I asked to be put on the do not call list, he hung up on me.  

The same phone is also getting those vehicle extended warranty calls.  

I'm almost 100% certain they are mining these numbers off Google.  Some federal agency ought to bust them.

Needs to be investigated and stopped. The phone company obviously is not going to step up and do anything even with so much damning evidence against the number.

i have recieved multiple calls, about 30 or so in the last 2 months, first, it started off with calling my house phone(even though on the DNC list) we called back, talked, and the motherf***** threatened to kill us! so we called the cops and they talked to the local phone company, they said that it originated in kentucky, but that may be untrue as the spammer could have his call masked by HIS local company. and now he has called my phone repeatedly, as well as my other family members, all who have verizon btw if that helps any of u, and i am getting fed up with it.

Arizona - I didn't pick up the last time, but I do get a lot of calls about my Car's Warrenty expiring and they want to upgrade it.  Not sure if it is the same company or not.

i just activated a tracfone pre-paid cellular phone. nobody has my number but i've been bombarded with calls and when i look them up - it seems that they are all over this site. anyone with a tracfone have this issue. i think im going to complain to tracfone.

i never answer the phone when i get those calls, and they never leave me a message.  when i call them back i always get an automated response saying press 1 to be taken off their 'do not call list.'  i've done this but they call back, so, i've resorted to not answering the calls.  most tell me about my car warranty expiring.  next time i think i'll answer, " hello, special agent spencer, FBI"

Just got a call from this number, too. Didn't pick it up.. sounds like a scam.

I got the same number, called it back, and it said "thank you for calling back, if you would like to be put on our do-not-call list please press 1"

I pressed one, it went "thank you", then hung up.

So I assume I won't receive any more calls?

I encourage you all to do the same in hopes it stops.

It was just another offer like you all said for a interest rate on a credit card I don't even have.

Keep getting calls from this number with a recording about helping out my credit card situation.  I pressed 9 and was transferred to a person and when I said 'Can you take me off y.... "click"' He hung up immediately on me. These types of calls are against the law last I checked. How long does it take for action to be taken against unsolicited people like this who refuse to take you off their frigging list? Also their caller ID shows an extra number 1 in the front on my phone: 114029820468. Could this group be located outside the US?

My cell phone rang twice today. The call was from 402-982-0468. It was about "my credit card". I only have 2 credit cards & I know the calls weren't concerning either of them. This is someone who is using up MY minutes at MY expense.

Called leting me know that I was qualified for lower interest rate on my cards.  All they needed was verify a credit card number with at least $800.00 dollars available limit.

Ive recieved about 5 to 10 calls a week, for about 2 months now from this number, and about 3 others, and everytime I choose the do not call list option, however the calls keep coming. So a couple weeks ago I started choosing the live person option, however, everytime I get someone on the phone and start to inquire, they QUICKLY hang up on me.I have recieved 3 different kinds of calls so far to my cell, the first was from Card Member Services{something about renewing a credit card}, the 2 was to tell me that the warrenty on my car is going to expire{my cars warrenty expired 2 years ago}, and the most recent {today} was some crap about getting a cable package that included HBO and Stars.Everytime I recieve one of these calls, its a recorded message with an option for a live person, however everytime you choose the live person option, they QUICKLY hang up on you if your not interested, and when you try to call back, you just get a recorded message with the do not call list option.If these were legit calls, there would have to be a way to call them back.My patience is running out, and I think Im just going to start swearing at these people if there is no way to stop these calls.I dont want to change numbers, because this is a business phone.Does anyone know how I can stop this madness?
