Caller ID said Card Services so I answered the call. Got a recording that suggested lowering my credit card interest rate. I listened and when it said punch 1 I did and got someone who barely spoke English. Suspect this was some sort of scam in its infancy.

I keep getting phone calls from variations of the Omaha exchange (402-982-XXXX). Each time its a different scam (fake car warranty, fake health insurance, fake gift card, "free" home security system). They have been calling for almost a year now. The only way to get the incoming calls to slow down (they never actually stop calling) is to never answer the phone when they call (no voice mail either).

received a call from this number at 3:22 am on June 4. Said it was from card services wanting to lower my credit card interest rate. Call was a recording. Appears to be a scam. When you call back, you get a recording thanking you for returning and asking if you want to be dropped from their list. You can't get a live person on the call back. Hmm.....Another red flag ?

Received call that was automated.  Pressed 1 to speak to a rep.  Asked what bank/company my visa was through and they said they service of 280 banks.  I am a banker and deal with scams and fraud everyday.  The guy who speaks crappy english could not tell me what bank my card was through and then began to yell at me when I told him that I know this is a fraud scam.  Hung up on the idiot.

Got a call- recording saying they could lower my interest rate on my credit card.  Said press 1. I got a guy who could barely speak English. I asked what credit card it was for, I think he said visa, so  I asked which one, he said they represent Capital One, Bank of America and Chase.  I said I don't think so and don't call me again!!!

    Tired of telephonies
I answered.  Recorded message from a "smiley voice" said they could lower my interest rate on my credit card and that this was my last chance--or some such nonsense.  They said to press "1" to speak to a representative, or press "2" to be removed.  I pressed neither and hung up. I figured either choice was a mistake--maybe answering the phone was also a mistake.
It's pretty evident that they want personal information from you which is rather scary.  When will these people give up or get fined!

Called earlier today, caller ID said "card services." Did not pick up, never do, never will.   They left a half-a**ed message that was either of such poor quality, or in another language than English, I could not understand a word.

I see a caller above references them as "Citiservices."  That implies a relation to Citibank?  They are of course in some sort of financial meltdown recently, and have sold tractor trailer loads of zombie debt to bottom feeders, so why not sponsor a credit card scam as well?  Every penny they can raise to keep the game going.

This is a phishing scam to get your personal information!!!  They are calling on VOIP...what financial firm uses VOIP?  The objective of the call is to get you to validate as much information as possible so that they can steal your identity to either sell your info or to create fraudulent financial accounts.
