marketing call of some type

number came up on my caller id as "not a collector"--did they really think i was going to answer

I keep getting a prerecorded warning of final notice of my auto warranty expiring and this is my work phone #.  Now I am getting these final notices at home and work!
I called the # and got another message to get removed from the list press 1 and they would remove me from the list but it will take 72 hours to take effect.  Any bets?

I picked it up but didn't say a word, no one on the other end did either, must be a auto dailer waiting till you say something.

I received a phone call from 1-402-982-0823 and the caller ID said it was from NOT A COLLECTER and collector was spelled exactly like that, with an "e" instead of an "o"!  I did not pick up.

I'm getting the same call. The first time it came upon the caller id as Service Message and the second time as this number. Both times I got a voice mail that was just static.

Card Services. Halfway thru the automated spiel, it hung up....rofl

Can we say "Credit Card Scam", folks....hee hee

Business phone here; phone rings, answer on first ring, hang up.  Nothing.  No ID, just the phone number on caller id.

Missed call from 402-982-0823.  Won't be calling them back.

They called my work and hung up when I told them to take my number off, I work for a telephone company so this isn't the end.

I don't know what the caller wants.  But even if they would spell collector right, I still wouldn't pick up the phone.

Credit card scam, promise to lower interest rates. Did not connect to speak with a representative this time. Last time I pressed 1 to have my number removed from their list. This uneducated street thug started using the "F" bomb while trying to create some sort of confrontation after I told him I was not interested. These people need to be locked up!

call received at work. said it could lower my card rates. pressed 1 to hear more about this wonderful offer. Thug answered on first ring. "Which company is this? Where are you calling from", I ask. Thug hangs up. Now I'll never lower my rates.

Same as the above, I called back and it says press 1 to be removed.  I press 1 and says "thank you" and hangs up.  I said I wanted to be removed from their list and they were calling a business line and they hung up on me!  Very rude!
