Mar 3, 2011:  I received a charge of $430 from Istock International. The charge showed a Number of 800-478-6251.  That number belongs to some company that manages conferences and provides speakers for them.  Needless to say my card has been changed.

$175 charged to my Visa card with a posting date of 03/29/2011. Description on bank statement: ISTOCK *INTERNATIONAL. The Merchant Category for the transaction is "Art Dealers/Gallery." When I called the number on my statement associated with the charge -- "800-478-6251, WA" -- they said it was a "teleconferencing company." My bank is disputing the charge and has cancelled my card.

You might try writing to the Better Business Bureau of Canada, where istockphoto international does business.

My account was charged twice in the amount of $800 each (total - $1600).  My debit card was cancelled but I am wondering who is getting all of our card numbers and charging things to this company?

Had an $800 charge from them try to go thru but my bank caught it. never heard of this company but I had to get a new card and still trying to get the mess straightened out. Is this company legit or do they just steal card numbers and try to make money.

They are still at it. I found 2 charges one for 175 and one for 475 from istock.
I have to say, think istock are the crooks here. Tney are the only ones who stand to gain from this.
Tney need to be investigated by the feds for rico.

just found £369 debited from my account. Never heard of istock before. My bank has contacted them and they have a totally different name for the transaction and say they will refund (we'll see!). Bank has cancelled the card. This company has been the source of lots of fraudulent transactions so why has nothing been done?

I was billed $528 by ISTOCK*INTERNATIONAL ph 866-478-6251 WA.  I have never done business with this company. When I called I got Premier Global Inc which turned out to be a  a firm that makes reservations for conferences. And you have to have a password to talk to someone.  I have no password. This charge is in dispute with my credit card company.

I never take my card out of my wallet and haven't used it in over a year. So how did they get the number?

Two $175 charges on 3/16/11.  I never even noticed until just now.  It makes me so mad to see how frequently this happens.  It is such a hassle.

Looks like the fraudsters have now moved to prey on British citizens.  Just noticed a £55 payment on my debit card to ISTOCK *INTERNATIO IRELAND.  Have contacted my bank to cancel the relevant debit card.  Have never had any dealings with this company before.  Given that this fraud has been running for well over 1 year, I find it hard to believe that the relevant financial watchdogs and regulators appear to have done nothing to stop this.  Incredible.

I got notified by my credit card company about a $440 charge from iStock Int'l. I googled them and called them. They gave me a name of Robert Bruce or Nancy Klass, with an address of 355 Industry Dr. in the city of Auburn. Not sure about state or country.
Just hope this info helps anyone.

Thank you for choosing iStockphoto. A representative will be with you shortly.

You are now chatting with Myriss.

    Myriss: Hello Stevie!

Myriss: How can I help you?

stevie: Why are you calling me? I am not a customer and when I googled your phone number I saw many complaints about people getting HUGE charges to their debit and credit cards who are NOT your customers!

    stevie: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-403-265-3062

Myriss: We apologize Steve. We are aware of that issue. It seems that our phone system has been hacked so I would have to ask you to please disregard the call.

Myriss: We are investigating on this.

stevie: ok.... I hope I do not get any charges from you

Myriss: This is iStockphoto a company that is totally irrelevant with debit and credit card companies.

stevie: I know but if you look at the link I posted you will see many people are getting huge charges from you

stevie: these all trace back to the same number that I got a call from, your phone number

    Myriss: We understand.

stevie: ok... I guess I will just hope for the best

Myriss: We are aware of the issue and we are doing our best to have it resolved in a timely manner.

Myriss: We appreciate you reporting this to us.

    stevie: ok thanks

    Myriss: You're welcome!

got a call istock but did not answer. i called back 10 min later after reading these posts here. talked to a customer rep and i asked why i got a call from them and the rep said he was sorry but their phone number had been hacked and someone or some company is using their number to try to call people to offer fake credit cards. the rep said this just happend within the last 30 mins (currently 10:38 a.m. central). he said i f i get a call from their number again please do not answer it and they are trying to fix the problem. im still monitoring my account just in case.

if anyone is familiar with "spoof card" you know that anyone can call anyone and pretend its from any number you wish. seems like this bogus credit card people use something like this. i noticed right before i got the call from stock, there was a call from 1-518-265-3062 just 2 minutes before. i didnt pick up on that call either so i think they may have tried to make me pick up by changing the number they were calling from.
