Random text rec'd that woke me up in middle of night saying  "Here's that wild website I was telling you about at work hookupsincanada.com - I got tons of action over xmas"

Random and unsolicited spam text... did not respond to avoid further harrassment

I got the same message as the people above. Made it sound like we were taling about this a work. errrrrrr

Not a prank call. Perhaps an invitation to be infected with malware.

I've called Telus before to complain about other spam texts I've received and was then charged for.  They said they don't know who sends the texts (which is so ridiculous - I was being billed $5 each for the specific ones I was complaining about - I asked her how they knew where to send the money they were collecting if they don't know who the texts are from - the question seemed to confuse her - lol). Anyway, Telus told me that if I receive an unwanted text I'm supposed to reply to the text with a message that just says "Stop".  I did that for those $5 ones I was getting and it worked so now I do it on every spam text I get, just in case.....

will this work or just put me on another call list

I received one from this number late last night. Freaked me right out. Thought it was my crazy ex and his loser buddies.

Received the same message yesterday. I was stupid and texted back but no reply. Creepy.

got a text from this number about some dating/hookup site... just deleted it.  here's hoping they don't text me again !

Text about canadahookups.com.. Afraid to text back and get more spam or a virus. Annoying.

My husband received this text today "Here's that wild website i was telling u about at work Marc, CanadaHookups.com.  Like I said It's way better than POF/eHarmoney, I got tons of actions last week ;)"

The link leads you to a website call "socialsex.com/dating/mobilesexdating

They spelled my husband's name wrong so right away it was a red flag.

Service Providers, Do Not Call Registry and the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications said they were unable to do anything with a complaint.  They suggested that I file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Other number checking sites have suggested these texts are causing some trouble in relationships.

Got the same text message last night.  I just ignored it.

I received the same text this morning and some of my friends also received the same message he just uses random names he is a pedo!!!!
