Kelly - 18 Dec 2007Letter in the mail stating I won a lottery of $275,000. It came with a check, that looks quite real by the way, made out for $3,860.95. I am treating this letter as phishing. Any other's out there?

kdawg - 20 Dec 2007got the same letter a few days ago. has anyone been able to verify anything on the letter. i even talked to rachel white. sounds leggit but cant find any info on it.

Kell - 19 Dec 2007I received a letter in the mail stating I won a lottery of $275,000. It came with a check also, it is made out for $3,860.95. They told me I am 1 out of 6 people that one and the only one that won in the US.

casey - 20 Dec 2007I recieve the same letter to and called them. They said that the check was real and that I could deposit it in my account. It does sound to good to be true.

krystal - 23 Dec 2007i got the saame letter and check. my boyfriend claims he spoke to a Rachel white and she said it wasn't bullsh*t. but if kell was told she was the only one who won in the u.s., then it's a scam. i live in Hawaii.

cantreadchinese - 11 Jan 2008I got the same thing today, same amounts and everything. It was actually sent to an address that I lived at 2 years ago and was forwarded to me, so that's interesting. I live in Indiana now. Looks like the postmark was from Canada. I might try to investigate it a little more but probably won't do anything with it. My mom told me it was a semi common scam (I'm a college student) and they just want info from me to steal my identity.
