Planegirl - 25 Jan 2008Got a call during our evening meal from a nice sounding lady, claiming to be from Canada Revenue. She was asking for someone with a name vaguely like mine. She was asking when my tax return was coming, and its not even the end of January! She was saying she wanted "to confirm she was speaking to the right person" and wanted my birthdate, address, accountants details (a ruse?) - I refused, saying my tax return would come when it was finished, and I wouldn't give out any personal information, as if they were Canada Revenue, they would have this information. I am very cautious, as this is a good ruse for identity theft!
