Well, after we complained to Inphonex.com about somebody spoofing our number in March they stated there was nothing they could do. Well apparently somebody from 780.434.XXXX and 780.436.XXXX complained enough to get them to shut down our number without notice. Which was a bad move on their part but does show that if people complain they can get these companies to do something. Unfortunately since we weren't the ones making the calls the people spoofing this number would be able to continue doing so.
The 'please enter the extension' message you heard was our phone system, not the phone system of the people making the call.
This was inphonex.com's original response April 1st.
"Good morning,
We verified in your call history that the last outbound call was placed on March the 16th. We have no control over the person who could possibly be abusing your number other than to change the number for you. Please let us know what you would like to do.
Thank You,
The Support Team"
This is the message they sent today:
"Good morning Mr. Tyler,
We had to cancel DID# 403.770.0522 from your account due some complains of harassing calls from this number to 780.434.XXXX and 780.436.XXXX.
Please contact us @ 305.728.6200 or virtual number: 728.6200 if you have any further questions.
