Gin - 28 Mar 2008I got 2 calls from this number today. One when I was not home, and no message was left. Later one when I was home. They hung up when I answered.

LAL - 1 Apr 2008Had called couple of times previously and left no message. Answered once and it was a call centre looking for donations to Childrens charity. Appeal was highly emotionally charged and designed to apply guilt to solicit a donation. Reminded me of some of the sympathy inducing television ads that have exceptionally high administration cost before any funds are actually sent to the charity involved. I suspected it was a scam of some sort and did not cooperate

DC - 19 Apr 2008I have donated last year (though a small amount) and have not received a receipt since. I believe this is a scam as legitimate charitable organization will send the official tax receipt.
