2:47 PM today, recorded message saying Congratulations as a Westjet customer, you are eligible to win....press 1. I press one and the person begins asking me to confirm information. I asked her to take my number off their call-list and she hung up.

I believe it's a vacation sales company just using a familiar name (Westjet) and are totally un-affiliated with Westjet. Don't buy a vacation package that you haven't shopped for yourself.

Tom, I haven't flown West Jet since the spring and I received a call this afternoon, so I would say that whomever is calling is using West Jet's name. I just hung up and didn't press 1. These people are looking for information from you so they can scam. This is the kind of thing you hear about on the news all the time.

Special offer from Westjet. Given the area code, I pressed 1.  She asked for my credit card and when I asked what the company was, she hung up.  I hope no one gets sucked in by this.

Woke up my wife who was asleep. I hung up on them, so did not get any information. They are IDIOTS.

I wondered the same thing because I just flew with them this past Friday (Oct 15) and got a call on my cell today from 403-791-8642.

I doubt WestJet is selling the numbers. I got this cell # several months after I last flew WestJet. Also, it's just a coincidence that you started getting these calls now - As you can see, the only posts about this number are within the last 13-14 hours. They called me at 1:28PM PST yesterday. Automated voice claiming to be WestJet, as soon as they said press 1 to accept, I hung up. I'm just always curious as to what other people find ;) Definitely a scam.

I don't give my cell number to anyone except friends and family. So don't know where they would have gotten it.  I hung up then texted my family members (who are on my bill) not to answer it.   I'm sick of these guys trying to screw us over.

Westjet is not selling your number. This is a company offering you a discounted trip. Once you say you have a valid credit card, they transfer you to "Cancun" to a company called Cancun Calling, www.cancuncalling.com is their website. They tell you the list price of the trip is $3265.00 but you can get it today for $695 no airfair included.

This company is just using Westjet and other companies falsely.

Another thing is that if you try the website www.cancuncalling.com you need the 4 digit promo code to access this website. The only way to get the code is to give your credit card #

I'll add my name to the above list.  Just received a call on my cell from 403-791-8642.  Didn't answer it as it wasn't a number I recognized.  Getting very fed up with telephone scams.

I just recieved a call from this number and looked it up on canada 411.  it was listed to a G Punja in Brampton, Ontario...I know now not to answer if they try calling back!  Scam!

I have received phone calls 2 days in a row from them now and I have not picked up and they have not left a message. I'm really curious as to how they got the number because I only just got this phone and haven't been giving out the number.

Just got a call from this number, did not reply... Found this thread by googling the number... No biggie I guess...

Just got two calls from this number.  First call claims to be from WestJet.  Second call half hour later claiming to be from Air Canada.

received calls in Edmonton on land and cell lines from WestJet telling me I'm a preferred customer. I have never flown westjet

Got call from this number on my cell at about 12:30pm PST.
Didn't answer - no message left.
