They said "Because you are a very good client we would like to increase your credit, you only need to confirm your identity and give your credit card number" Of course, I just hung up!

I called it, heard some static and then "no routes found" This number is known to be used scammers and is apparently a "skype" number. Don't be fooled, it's not even originating out of Alberta Canada, it's routed through the U.S. and back. Had you answered, they would have tried some kind of b.s on YOU!

Said they were from the headquarters of Visa and Mastercard.  Told them I knew they were scamming me and asked for my number to be removed from their call list.

Said they were from the headquarters of Visa and that they wanted to drop my rate from 19% to 6% for life since I was a good customer and paid my bills on time.  They wanted my birthday to confirm who I was.  When I said I would not and if they looked at my transactions they would see the interest rate did not matter as I don't us that card.  They hunted up

They have called numerous times over the past while. Called again today stating they were from VISA.
I asked if they thought I was stupid to do anything with scammers. Told them that they must be stupid to think that I would ever deal with them. They hung up.

I heard the same message as others, it was VISA and being a good customer I could have 6% interest for life. When I didn't give my birthday they hung up.

Scam - but he had my name which is worrying.  Said he was from credit services and worked for all the major banks and Visa and Mastercard.  When I started laughing and said "bull****" he started swearing at me.  Glad he was having a tough day

Enter your telephone-number at web-sites like 'www.Canada411.ca' and it may show your name & address.

I too received a "lower your interest rate" call, just a few minutes ago.
Obviously, they want my current credit-card number, expiry-date, and 3-digit code on the back.

Probably, falsified caller-ID information via their VOIP-based CPE ("Customer Provided Equipment")

Said they were calling from VISA. Caller ID said from Alberta.
Told them no credit cards and if they phoned again I would call the cops. Then I hung up.

Got the call stating that I was a good customer and always paid my bill. 6% interest rate. I said that it did not matter because I always pay the full amount. Wanted to have my date of birth. I replied that they already have that. Wanted to know the expiry date on my card. I said they would have that info too. When asked what was the balance owing on my card, I said that we were through and I hung up.
Then I tried to phone the number back -- not in service.

Same as everyone else - we will give you great things if you just share your credit card number with us! I might have done it if I had just fallen off the turnip truck!
