Two calls, no message, probably fake.

Sometimes "AT&T SVC CTR" calls 2-3 times a day, not leaving a message.  I am suspecting a spoofed caller ID, since I have my doubts if these calls are actually from AT&T.  Perhaps it's some scam operation trying to "slam" your phone service to some unknown company, via using a faked AT&T caller ID.  I knew someone whose phone service was switched, and he had a hard time getting back to his original phone service.  He ended up losing his ability to make long distance calls, and when he called AT&T, he was told his service was no longer with them.  Beware.

Spoke with the real AT&T today and it is NOT THEM CALLING. This is another scumbag low life piece of crap telemarketer that should be prosecuted to the full extent of the laws. All these scurge should be wiped from the face of the earth like the rest of their trash.

Just got a call from this number.  No message left.  Called back, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my AT&T internet service.  I do have AT&T internet service, but if I wanted to upgrade, I will call THEM, not the other way around!

I have been receiving calls from this number 404-201-6957 for the last few days.  I always delete the call when it shows up.  My daughter who works for AT&T told me that it was not one of their numbers.  She said to report it as soon as possible. .

I got two call today from this number and the tried to get me to up grade my phone service and  internet.

404-261-6957 says AT&T SVC CTR
neither ever leave a smg

Called at noon today - we did not answer.  Caller I.D. sez ATT SVC CTR -- No message left at all.  We are NOT calling back!

Asked if I wanted to upgrade to Uverse. Called ATT customer service and they told me this was NOT ATT.

You people have got to be the most stupid people on this planet....I work in this department we are AT&T ask her what a "UID" is and look at her face after... There are so many departments inside AT&T that they all can't communicate with each other so some are unaware that ours even exist.(if that doesn't help ask her about the migration blue department).. We switch people over so they don't have to pay to switch over when the time comes and it's mandatory, just so you know. We are in Texas not overseas. If your daughter works for AT&T she needs to go back to training I really hope your family doesn't procreate god help us if you do

Not any time soon! In the world of Internet service a couple of years may as well be a lifetime. In 5 years fiber-optic may be antiquated. We may all be using satellite or 5, 6, 7 or 8 LTE. Who knows? For that matter, in 5 years we all may be back to ringing up the operator or tapping out messages in Morse code! Especially with AT&T. I got rid of them YEARS ago!

Who said anything about DSL?  And why are you replying to aged posts anyway?

He's a TM for the Uverse crew yef. He's hit a couple of threads recently. It must really suck to sit all day trying to peddle unwanted services to people who aren't happy with the service they're already getting from a provider they really wish they could be rid of in the first place. I guess that's why call center cretins are so "highly paid"!

I just got a call, obviously a telemarketer as the phone was quiet for a moment..I wanted to see what they wanted and was shocked when the person asked if I was Mrs. --- , giving my real name. It freaked me out and got nowhere when trying to report to AT&T.  

This person called, a lady, said the modums for the internet was being shut off and new ones were being made and it would decrease the bill. When I asked question, I grew suspicious, especially when she couldn't remember what she originally said and when she asked account question, I responded with "you should have my account in front of you" and she didn't respond. This is an imposter using the caller id "ATT Service Center".

There you have it folks - the kind of trash who insists on vilifying informed consumers while whining that we should listen to their scammy spiel!
