I received a phone call regarding a criminal investigation regarding check fraud for a payday loan which I don't own. The funny thing is that the call was from a woman who called from another telephone number with the same message. As with the first telephone call no call back number was left. The woman who called said her name was Carol Rogers,

I just received the same call from a Carol Rogers and I don't have or owe any payday loans. I think this is a scam.

This Carol Rogers person just left me a voice mail from this number stating she was a PI and was calling regarding a case for check fraud against me. Now keep in mind she left no name that the check fraud was supposedly for, meaning she did not say this it for "my name", just that it was check fraud. I have NO idea who this is or who she wants to speak with, but she also left no number to return the call to. Not like I would call her back anyway. I'm sick of people thinking they can scam hard working people out of money.

Just recieved a call from 4043147815, cant recall the name of the woman but when I tried to return call it went straight to voice mail. Someone threaten me in regards to a criminal investigation, that im a subject in? I found out that the number is a Georgia number.

I've also been getting calls from the same number including a 678 619 0640 with the same messages  left by Karen Rogers from the company Legal Mediation. However, the 404-314-7815 I spoke with Jordan Myers who when I asked to provide me the name of the payday loan company I took the loan from she couldnt provide me that, stating she dont have that, she only have Check City who owns the payday loan company and that I owed $1700, that had to be paid in full or broken into monthly payments. She informed me that I would get a discount and only owe around $700 if I paid $249 today before 1pm and the 3 remaining payments. She also told me she checked my background and seen that I havent done anything like this in the past and she is willing to help me out by taking my payments or she will have to send out the papers for my arrest. I reached out to others and was told they have been getting the same calls. Did more research and found this online.

Got the same call - Karen Rodgers; Criminal Investigation Divsion for a case that is being 'dowloaded' (?). Didn't specify what the 'crime' was but that I am somehow named (I don't remember the exact words.) she didn't leave a number; just tried to sound scary. Found out the number is in GA. My guess is some scamming company got a list of leads from somewhere - I'm on the West Coast - so maybe they are just working an particular area. It's nice to have this website! Thanks!

I just got a call from this number.  Company name T. Marshall associates.  When I told her the number is linked to a fraud company she hung up on me.

I keep getting these same calls. So far, it has been 3 different women, calling from several different phone numbers. They always say the same thing: Said she is a private investigator who has me listed as a central subject in an active fraud investigation. Needs to speak to me or my attorney to get my side of the story. Never identified what company. Says that if I do not call her back, I will be served and/or arrested at home or my place of business. Yeah, okay - these calls have been coming for months and still no one has showed. Also, if it was legitimate, they would not warn you that they were coming. The names and phone numbers of the three women are below; I am keeping a log and reporting them as new ones pop up. There were a couple of times that two of them called from the same number:

I got a from a place called "Legal Mediation" in Georgia, the phone number was 706-418-5619.  The message was from a woman named Ryeen Currins, she said she was an investigator working on a case that possibly involved my name & SS number, she preceeded to tell me that this was her last & final attempt to reach me....but, I only received this ONE phone call from her...also that I needed to call her ASAP at 678-774-7044.     So, just out of curiosity, I called the 678-774-7044 number and a woman named Jordan Myers answered & said "Hello Mrs. M******" before I said anything or told her who I even was.  She said that she too was an investigator & that I had a legal case out against me for a Payday Loan back in 2012 that I never paid back & that I needed to attain a lawyer as quickly as possible for when i get called to court & have to get up on the stand. I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD A PAYDAY LOAN.....I told her that, she didn't listen, just yelled...so I told her, then tell me the name of the Loan Company, she said I don't have that info....I said let me talk to your supervisor, she said okay clicked the mute button and came back within a split second and said her supervisor was not available also she said that her supervisor was standing there waving at her telling her she doesn't have time to talk to me.  Then ask her ok can you please tell me your address she said we are not legally allowed to give out that information, then I ask her ok what is your phone number and she gave it to me so fast I could not even hear her. I didn't ask her okay what is your business called she said it and then she said in case you didn't hear me let me spell it out for you and started yelling it In the phone very rudely.

so beware this place called and they will harass you!!!
