470-238-2602 - Lynne| 5 repliesHe said his name is Robert Frost and there is a case with my name being 'downloaded' to the county today. I'm supposed to give him an immediate callback. Yeah, right! When will these stop? At least it isn't the people with the thick Indian accents. I'm tempted to call just to see what he might say. But I won't. Not ever.
- Caller: Unknown scammer
- hOPE replies to LynneSame here! They call my pay-as-you-go phone! They called three to five times this week, left three voicemails! How can I get this number blocked? I have no case on anything! When will it stop?
- DenieceLeft a message 3 times for me as well and in each message he said the same thing "a case was filed today" . How many times can one case be filed? Lol
- Hope| 1 replyThey keep calling my prepaid phone! They call almost everyday! I am getting tired of it. I do not have any case! And I have no attorney! How can I stop this number from calling my phone?
- MonicaD replies to LynneRobert Frost called me today as well. As soon as he announced his name on my voice mail - I immediately through of Robert Frost the poet. Perhaps we should recite the poem the next time he calls....but i am with the other writer, I will not talk to him or acknowledge the call. You never know what type of set up that that could become.
- CWG40 replies to HopeCall blocker is your best bet. This Robert Frost appears to call from several numbers. Must like poetry.
- CWG40They seem to be targeting women. This is in keeping with a lot of debt scammers. They feel women are more vulnerable. They also go after single mothers and the elderly as well as members of the immigrant community. This Robert Frost is a bad piece of work. Don't talk to him. Block his calls. No one has any idea where he is physically located. I can't find him anywhere.
- Caller: Informational post
- TracyThis is an unlisted phone number stop calling me
- ernest| 1 replyThey call me from the 'check fraud' division. Inspector so and so says that a case was filed today and that I will be asked to appear in court. I'm still waiting for the court summons (yeah, right!). Bunch of scammers, and what is most insulting about the whole thing is that the 'agents' or 'inspectors' are so illiterate!
- Call type: Debt collector
- ml| 1 replygot a call today from Robert Frost - same as everyone else - this is not the first call that I have received and I have ignored all of them. I have ignored the past ones that I got and nothing has happened - I plan to do the same with this one. I absolutely refuse to even acknowledge them.
- Call type: Debt collector
- AB| 1 replyRobert Frost leaves a authoritative sounding message telling me to call back with my lawyer's contact information because they are filing a case in the county and it is time sensitive. Once these people get your number, they do not leave you alone. Every week or two, someone from a different State leaves a message that is very similar sounding. No mention of which county and no mention of what the case is about. I owe nobody money and I checked my bank account and have never received money from a payday loan company. I also checked my credit report and there is nothing on it about a payday loan. This is my fifth call from this group over the last five weeks. The first one said I could pay $3000 to make this go away. The last one before today told the police officer I owed $300. What a scam. I call the police every time they call now and they back off for a week. Each week the call comes from a different state. I'm not returning any of these calls anymore.

- Melissa| 5 repliesThis company name Legal Mediation keeps calling me telling me I have an outstanding payday loan and I owe over $500. I now have a warrant out for my arrest. Is this a scam?
- Caller: Legal mediation

- nene| 9 repliestoday I received a phone call that I was going to have a warrant for my arrest ,for a payday loan so I went on the internet and I saw that they were scammers ,but then I called the company that I originally owed and was told that my case was sent to the state for a worthless check I don't know what to believe !!!!!!
- sc replies to MelissaThey called me too. I called my lawyer
- Robin| 1 replyThis number contacted my daughter, several times/leave messages... and the post that someone said on there, was that.. Robert Frost, atty, blah, blah...frustrated, I called using my phone number asking who is this... She proceeded to ask me, what is your phone number.. I ask her, first let me ask, who is this, She said someone used this number as contact.. Is this Nicole something.. I said NO... please stop calling that number... lets just see if they will call again
- Gunnar replies to neneI think you know exactly what to expect...NOTHING! You know that, we know that.
You'll get nothing because people are on to your scam. All anyone has to do is tell the callers from your fraud-shop that they are DEMANDING written proof of your claims by mail. NOT e-mail or fax. As per federal regulation under the FDCPA. When one of you desperate scammers comes back with some BS about "bad checks" we all know to laugh at you! It doesn't work that way! EVER!
You illiterate cowards have been trying to use the "bad check" routine for years. We've de-bunked your lines of BS so many times here it's become tedious. I'll spell it out for the people that find their way here. An un-paid PDL will NOT result in any "bad check" charges. EVER! The frauds like to use the threat. That's all it is. An illegal ploy used by scammers to get people to pay on PDLs, whether they've ever taken one or not. When some fraud calls and says otherwise, it's simple. The caller is a FRAUD!
DEMAND the callers physical address! When the caller refuses to give it to you, or provides only a P.O. box number, the caller is a FRAUD!.
Know your rights under the FDCPA. Google it. It's simple. Then enjoy yourself as you tear in to the next scammer on the phone.....like the fool that I'm directing this post at. To him I say,
Skeff Ett Liv!
Gunnar - ShillKill replies to nene| 1 replyHey shill --- how dare you plant a false statement or a false testimonial on here to deceive consumers!
First, debt is a CIVIL matter, not a CRIMINAL matter. You do not get arrested for not paying back a loan (you can be sued, but that is civil court).
Second, "hot check" statutes do not apply to PDLs!
Third, even with "hot check" statutes (which again don't apply to PDLs) they are very specific and have a very limited statute of limitations and several elements must be present to file charges - CWG40 replies to nene| 5 repliesFirst off, warrants are issued by judges to duly constituted law enforcement agencies on the basis of an investigation and a finding of probable cause that the subject of the warrant has, in fact, committed a crime.
Being in debt is not a crime. You can't be arrested for ordinary civil debt.
"Your case was sent to the state for a worthless check"? What exactly does that mean? I'll tell you--nothing!
Oh, and will you tell this "Robert Frost" person that you work with, that while some of us here enjoy Robert Frost's poetry and it's an interesting touch that this scammer has adopted the AKA of Robert Frost, the poet, if he keeps on representing to people that he is a policeman, he's going to be in serious trouble. - CWG40 replies to RobinThey will call again. Consider getting yourself a call blocker. They like to pick on women because they feel women are more vulnerable and more likely to pay out money.
If this guy "Robert Frost" calls you, make sure you tell him that
1. He is a scam artist
2. You're not paying him a penny.
This Frost guy is little more than an extortionist--don't take any nonsense from him. Tell him you'll go to the police and make a complaint of extortion if he keeps calling you.
