Audio on call stated that I had until the end of business today to call or I would face arrest.
Called back the number and some dumb bozo answered and said 'Arbitration Unit, Mr. Johnson speaking may I have phone number we contacted you on'.  I then asked him what company he worked for and he said it didn't matter he needed the phone number.

These are low life bottom of the earth scum debt collectors that are working on debt that they bought for pennies on the dollar and just trying to scam you into paying.  If you should get a call from Mr. Johnson, Curse him out like a sailor on leave, blow a whistle or better yet a boat air horn into the phone.  If they keep on calling back, keep on doing it.

Well Folks, my assistant got a call on her PCS so we just decided to have a friend of ours calls from the US Attorney office here in Alanta.  I am sure that Mr. L.D. Johnson saw "US Attorney" on his Caller ID, he must have been pooping some bricks, so here is the skinny:

Mr. L.D. Johnson's voice mail states that he works for D. Wilkerson and Associates - these are pure Southern Scum and they buy debt as the Phoneman said for pennies on dollar - 99 percent of their debt is past the statue of Limitations usually between 5 and 7 years.  The trick they use is the oldest trick in the book that they will file charges or have your arrested and that is UNTRUE.  Don't believe these Southern Scum.

NO ONE can threaten to take you to court or serve you with a subpoena over an unpaid debt - not even an attorney.
NO ONE can threaten to have your arrested for not paying a debt - not even an attorney.
NO ONE can threaten to garnish your wages - If they want to garnish your wages, its a complicated and long process.

If you look at the D Wilkerson and Associates website, http://www.dwainc.org/ - first of all any LEGIT Collection company would have a .COM address - not .ORG!!  Also any LEGIT Collection agency would have a number to contact them on and immediately remove your number from the database NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Each time you call me, The Attorney General in Atlanta is notified, along with the phone carrier, the FTC and the FCC - It's only a matter of time before your butt gets nailed to the cross.  I would advise you to knock it off.  Don't think I'm serious - keep it up - Your day is coming Southern scum.

Ok Everyone - so this post generated some feedback and I am glad that it did.

First of all, if you call the 404.445.1528 number, if they are a TRUE Debt Collector, there is supposed to be a message that "This is a call that you will be speaking with a debt collector in order to collect a debt and that the call will be recorded and any information obtained will be used for that purpose".

A.  There is not a recording.  Yesterday it was answered "Arbitration Unit".  Today is was answered "Mr. Johnson how may I help you" - This is ILLEGAL.  They MUST identify themselves when answering the phone.  It's the law.
B.  Second - The Website has NO information on how to contact them.  I sent them an email yesterday at 9:15AM and there has been no response.  A professional company would have that email sent back before the close of business.
C. Third - For those of you that say "Pay your Bills" - I pay all my bills, On Time, and I am debt free with a credit score of 899.  I don't buy what I don't need. I drive older vehicles and usually wait until over 175,000 miles to get another vehicle. I live a spartan home.  I like many others, are victims of the "recycled phone numbers" and I should not have to be bothered by calls from Southern scum like D Wilkerson and Assoc looking for someone else.  I received these same calls months ago from another number, and again from D.L. Johnson and informed him last time that he was required to take both of my numbers out of the system which he said he would do - well he never did.

For those of you out there always say "Pay Your Bills" that's not always the case.  If someone was calling you and you knew all you bills were paid and they kept on calling you, I bet you would be screaming mad as well. Grow up people!

This Morning as well I spoke to the AG in Atlanta.  They could not release details but they did say that companies like this are "On the Radar" and being looked into.  I hope that shut down the Southern Scum.
