This may be a scammer

Yes a scammer, sent me 4 stolen credit card numbers!!! Don't get scammed by this guy.  Said he was  rev. bently cole  and wanted 55k in church banners.

This guy is trying to scam me right now. He said his name was Rev. Bently Cole and that he needed 40 church banners. I had them going to sample, and decided to google this guys name. He had me get international shipping quotes to Cape Town Soouth Africa. I am glad I found these postings. Thanks!

Tried to get me to send him thousands of blank t's as well.  Using the the rev jakkson ferguson e-mail but says name is Davison Ferguson.  Email was a little more detailed than what is posted here - asked for specific brands and blends of cotton/ poly.  Called him out on his request so we'll see if he keeps trying to scam me.  I <heart> Google - LOL! :)

we got scammed byt this guy also wanting 40 banners with ferguson international church on them. He has been emailing me for 3 weeks and gave me two credit card numbers which were declined (im guessing were stolen) and we have now said to leave us alone but he still continues to contact us.

this guy is trying to scam our company too...asking for banners to be sent to cape town? crazy...he's sacmming with this name and email Rev Jackson Morrison [revjacksonmorrison@yahoo.com] in fact he had the balls to call through a relay service...? like if he was mute...what a mofo whay would anybody sit at home and do this kind of thing? what a waste of time!

Got the same message asking for t-shirts. My skepticism kicked in but I went along for a few iterations.  His vague or non-answers made me even more skeptical.  Wouldn't provide any contact info.  

When he asked me to contact the shipping company, I replied that I would have to get a letter of credit from his bank to verify the funds before I could place an order.  Thus far, the communication has ceased.  I did send a note to the 'shipping company' but never got a reply.  I think I called his bluff.

I own a mail and parcel center and we as anindustry get this kind of email or even a local business calling to have us help with the shipping in response to such emails. Although the names, commodities, and country of sending vary, they are all the same. These could also be scams with fake cashier's checks, scams of paying more than is needed and wanting the extra to be sent back via Western Union. The variations are legion.

Keep in mind (especially during this economic downturn that things that seem to be too good to be true, usually aren't. Beware, be careful, and if you are unsure, call your local mail and parcel center for advice Or even the local police etc. We MPC's have forums on which we discuss scams and can find out pretty quickly what is what. One trick: demand the payment to be sent Western Union. If they are a scam this won't happen. (and if it does happen for a 1st small order, don't go bigger 'since they are really interested'. They next order -larger and more costly- could be with a stolen credit card # or a counterfeit check.
