This is a collection agency in Atlanta. The woman identifies herself as Mrs. Bates. She claims there may be some fraud involving your name and an account you may have and she is trying to verify if the account is yours. Basically, she wants to verify this is the right person she is talking to and and once she does, she gives you an opportunity to to set up payment arrangements. Granted, if there was fraud involved, it would not be a collection agency calling. It  would be the district attorney investigating. And the prosecutor doesn't set up payment arrangements in civil matters.

I got a call from Mrs. Bates who claims that she is an investigator.  She asked me about some loans, I don't recall taking in out.  She was not very specific, sounds fishy.

I am receiving calls saying I am responsible for someone's debt that this person is claiming to be my child. That I can be held responsible in 3 Fraud cases related to this person. They asked for my social security number and address. Told me that several apts have complained about this person and asked me what this person has done and then threatened me with court if I did not tell them. They claim to be working for an attorney but when I asked who the attorney was they said they could not give me that information.

I received a phone call from a John Francis stating that I or my spouse had committed "felony fraud". He did not even have us located in the right state. My husband called him back, he said he was a "locator" and my husband told him he must not be very good at his job because we are not hiding.  My husband also told him that his call could be considered harassment. He hung up on my husband.  I don't think he will be calling back.

I recieved a call from this number yesterday.  I have been looking for the email they are supposed to send me for conformation.  Now I see there was none.  I decided to do a google search and found this site.  There was a Mr. Sims who called me.  He said there was an account connected to my social security number.  He only had the last 4 numbers.

Yes, just got a call today from this number.  They only have the last four digits of the SS number.  They say there are criminal charges against you.  They repeatedly call.  They are harrassing me.  I will call the FTC to file a complaint against them, and hopefully this will help others out.

The man say he so Phillips and Clark associates and that you have a data that need to be paid and if not paid they will put a warrant out for your arrest. Please do not send these people any money or any document with your bank account information.

I received a call from a person by the name of Ms. Fleming and that she is an attorney from Penister Closson & Associates.  She had the gull to call my home & work.  Workers questioned her about who she was and if this was a personal call, she lied and said no and hung up. She would not give out details. When told not to call my work and that FTC & Attorney general will be callded an she hung up.  Whomever Ms, Fleming is do not send money or answer her calls. She is rude & unprofessional!! Calls to the FTC & Attorney general are in the works.

Just got a call from this number looking for the person who had previous used the cell phone number that I am currently using. I get calls from various agencies (lawyers, collection agencies, etc.) at least once a month looking for the guy who had this number before I did. REALLY ANNOYING!!!!!!! Am seriously considering changing my number. Looks like this is a collection agency but who knows?
