I've been getting calls from phone number (404) 941-8985 with the "CALLER  ID Unknown Number". When every I answer, they just hang up. This happens about once or twice a week, and is bothersome.

We receive calls from this number (404) 941-8985 as well as other numbers.  We researched online who the numbers belong to but all we find is "unpublished" or "unlisted" number.  Others who receive these calls informed us that these calls are from telemarketers supposedly operating on behalf of charitable organizations.  Those others contacted these numbers and found them to be false charity fronts.  I found that we are able to report these numbers on the Do Not Call complaint registry.  The more complaints they receive the better they can do their jobs to stop these abusers.  Here are some of the other numbers:  (303) 255-5104 Co name ADS, (303) 255-5025 Co name ADS, (414) 510-6307, (517)-679-0757, (513) 490-7599 & (920) 427-2054 (The last 2 listed come up as 'this number is for sale')

I get calls from 404-941-8985 at least twice if not more a week. I heard, but not confirmed, this number emanates as most of you know from the Atlanta area and is from bogus telemarketers on behalf of either cancer organizations, police union, and reportadly from childrens hospitals. ALL FRAUDULENT! May come from a residential area if not from a private home. Been told that calls may be routed thru another exchange as well.

They left a 2 minute message, something about buying an electric vehicle. What a waste of time.

Started receiving calls from this number - no messages though.

Same as previous poster. Two calls tonight from the 4049418985. No one on the other end. Won't answer any more.

Continue to receive calls from this number and are tired of no one being there!

Thus far today they've called twice; about 5 minutes apart. I knew better than to answer, and they left no message on my machine.  Every database I can legally access only identifies it as being in Georgia.    I used to work for "the phone company" and hopefully will be again soon.   Furthermore, I worked in a position where I would have had access to their Customer Information, and can even trap and trace every call coming in on my line, and I assure you, I would most definitely disclose every single thing I could about them to law enforcement.    You guys better hope to God I never get "back in the saddle again" cause you're probably going to find a lot of very angry people knocking on your front door.    Imagine walking out your front door after trying to rip off people, getting them to give YOU money for you to "forward" to your so called "charitable organizations," and these people KNOW that you LIED to them and ripped them off.  Not to mention all the times you've called them and disturbed their peace.   I vow to do everything in my power to see you get what is coming to you.  FRAUDS!

Just got a call from this number and it was political, good questions so I don't know whats coming next but they did give a web site of pollposition.com went there and it was a $%#&ing  web site in the UK selling watches of all damn things, I just wish I could give back what those [***] give us.

The Georgia phone company thats allowing this abuse of the rest of us should be held accountable ! They know where the calls are coming from and who is paying that bill ! In fact this could be the one things the ACLU  attorneys could do that would really matter, we are being harassed and being deprived of peace and quiet in our own homes by these phone wielding hooligans because we own phones. I really belive our rights are being stomped on ! We are tired of this abuse !

Texas Comms Technician - I am with you!  These calls are a ridiculous waste of our time, disrupt our lives and just generally give me headaches!  Pain in the you-know-what ..  wish there was more I could do to shut these callers down!

Call is identified from Georgia.  Survey.  I hang up.  Would like to stop the calls.  I have registered my number on the do not call register.

I called and used their opt-out (press 1 when it answers, then leave a message with the phone number you want them to remove from their list.) When I called the number, it said "Majority Opinion Research," so it's apparently not covered under the National Do Not Call Registry:

Stupid people! I had 3 phone calls tonight from this number, first one at 7:03, second at 7:07, third at 7:12. Ridiculous!!!!!

I got three calls tonight I do not usually answer. One was a PPP poll, but I did not know that until it was over. I gave Obama bad rating, etc and R's good.  Country is headed in wrong direction, and I hope Rs take over more seats in congress if my choice was between Rs & Ds.

Second two were from that no, asked me if I think Cain is capable of running US as POTUS and which of the declared R candidates is my choice etc.  Also asked if i was R, D, or Independent, I am I since early 2010.  Also asked about Obama and whether he was good for US, Boehner, etc. I got the three calls in less than a half hour. I have reason to suspect the GA number is a Cain group since both asked about him and Rick Perry.  Cain does not like Perry, which makes me think it has to be a Herman Cain supporter from Atlanta, GA.

3 calls back to back, no one would answer me, I told them to quit calling. They listen so well the call back a few minutes later...............................

Two phone calls today from 404-941-8985 at 4:00 P.M. and again at 5:00 P.M.  When I answered the phone after 2 rings, no response

I just got a call which said it was a survey.  Asked me if I wanted Barack Obama, who I prefered between Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Herman Kane, If I thought Fox News was fair, what I thought of Michael Jackson's doctor trial, what I thought of Demi Moore's husband, and when they asked me if I preferred chips or wings while watching sports, I hung up.

Same here.  I understand, these people are trying to earn a living but I am sorry, I don't do surveys.  I get so many calls in one day and then nothing for a day or two.  Then it starts over again.
