These people called demanding to know the owner of my company. Since I am the owner, I asked what their name was and Oscar said his name and hung up on me when I asked him what I could do for him. Fishing for names...obviously.

I received a call from these people asking who the owner of our company was.  Since it was my desk number and I work for a major manufacturer with a worldwide presence, I asked who they were and why they needed that information.  The person said his name was Jordan and he was with the University of South Carolina.  I told him if he could tell me what he needed, I could direct him to the correct party and he said that he had another call and would get back in touch.

I just received a call from this number, a woman asked when I answered by name "where am I calling?" I said you are calling an office.  She said oh, so this is an office building and I said yes, it's my company who are you trying to reach, she just said oh, that is all I wanted to know thanks..and hung up.  Strange....

I just received a call from this number and the person said their name is Jake.  He asked for the owner, so I asked what is this regarding they said nevermind I will call him on his cell phone.  They call at least once a week.

Called the number back company name is "Publications"  can not reach an actual person

404-952-2000. Called asking for the owner by first name, wouldn't give his own name, said he would just call the owner on their cell. Ha. Caller ID Said Databasauras. Asked him if he was calling from there and he said he was calling about a local sports team. Bogus.

Called asked for owners name. Requested they leave a message and would not after several attempts. Mentioned he was calling from a university.

A guy just called from this number, asked for the owner and when I said remove us from your calling list, he said "What list?, I'm calling so I can buy some things from you!!".  Yeah right.

This is interesting; over the past few weeks I’ve been getting a call from 404-952-2000 asking for the CEO. When I say, “May I tell him who’s calling he says.” “Zack with the Carolina Panthers.” I then attempt to call the CEO to see if he is indeed expecting a call from the Carolina Panthers. The CEO asked that I ask Zack not to call back as he was not interested. When I told this to Zack he slammed the phone down. So I called 404-952-2000 and wouldn’t you know the phone answers as "Publications". So I’m calling the Carolina Panthers at 704-358-7000 and registering a complaint.

"Publications" is a [***] advertising co.

Got a call from this number just now, guy said he was 'Chris'.  Asked weird questions, I asked why he was asking and he hung up.  Some kind of scam.

They call my secretary and said they were with Oklahoma state university which we work
very closely with, we ask if they were directly connected with OSU and they hung up!!
we think they are fishers for a mailing list to sell to someone. I called the # back it answers publications
everyone call and jam their lines. lol

Just spoke to a man calling from that number. Phone ID came up as "Databasaurus". He knew the name for our company and asked the name of our top performing sales rep. I asked why and he said "its for the Tampa Bay Rays" (we are in Tampa and that is our local MLB team). I asked him why he needed that info, if it was for a sales pitch or if he was interested in advertising with us and he replied that "it involves some detail". I said "ok, you can explain it to me" and he said no, he needed to speak with the top earning rep. I told him I wouldnt be able to share that info with him unless he told me more. He declined and we hung up.

David Levi is from this company and is an  A**.  Very demanding.  I am sorry but this is not how to do business.

Man asked to speak with the VP Marketing about a project on which they were working for the Super Bowl.  Right.  This company already has their SB-related plans lined up.  I replied those matters are handled by Media Communications and transferred him there.  He called back while I was looking up the number that appeared on Caller ID.  My experience has been that any publication (especially USA Today) looking to place advertising for the SB is beyond aggressive, and this guy is no exception -- he's been calling for the last seven minutes, with the same result.

Called for the President of the company.  We are a state agency!  Never want to leave a message and give no details.  Obviously folks with too much time on their hands!

Got a voice mail today from the same guy "David Levi" (or Levee?) claiming the owner referred him to me regarding marketing.  Problem is, my owner never heard of the guy.
