answer the phone and they just hang up.

Said they were from the Dallas Morning News, trying to sell me subscription. Could have been real, but not sure. Anyone else have the same experience?

Caller ID said MNS. Didn't answer.

That is an Oklahoma Area code.

They call most every day. We do not answer junk calls, so let it ring. It is a nuisance, though, as it's mostly before we get up in the morning. When I have answered, nobody answers back. They should be banned from the phone! This is most likely a telemarketer, as we don't owe anyone anything.

Got two calls from this number today, about 4 hours apart from each other. Called back, went directly to voice mail. The recording says "Metro News" with instructions to press 1 to leave a message. The call came from Piedmont, OK, while I live in Dallas and I have never in my life subscribed to a newspaper or advertised in one. AND I'm on the nat'l no-call list. I did a quick google search to see if I could get more info. This is all I could find, and I'm not 100% sure these are the people who called or not, since "Metro News" is a fairly ubiquitous name for a newspaper:

THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING AND NOBODY IS THERE! CALLS AT LEAST TWICE A DAY.

Got a restricted call then right after got a call from this #. They both hung up. My wife(her # is 1 diget diff, than mine) got a restricted call and said it was an overseas tellamarketer and could not understand her so she hung up and didnt answer when they called back

They call twice a day, sometimes more!  Early morning and in afternoon or evening-one time it was late at night.  They call every single day and I am NOT kidding!   One time I picked up phone and they said nothing at all so hung up.  I am on the National do not call list and I still get this crap.  How do we get this to stop!

I just changed my number and  put it on a no call registry...I'm sure they are making random calls but I need it to stop.

Same as previous posts. I get calls from this number on a daily basis. I have a recommendation buy a phone with a "Block" feature and record their number. They will not be able to get through. I bought my phone on Walmart and I have been blocking this type of calls and have been not getting them any longer. BTW, my phone is a GE 6.0 (cost me around $60 with the answering machine/corded phone and 1 cordless one).

they call my son everyday he called back and no one answered they are very annoying

I've been getting these calls also. I can't even figure out what they are up to. Why would you not even try to push what you are selling when someone actually picks up the phone or calls you back? The only thing I can think is that they are putting together a list of "good" numbers to sell to other telemarketers who will harrass us in the future if they actually make contact with us. However, this doesn't even make sense because they continue to call me. Everyone please take the time and fill out an FCC complaint. What comes around goes around and so it will be with these turds eventually...

They call and call, including at 7 AM. I am on the DNC registry too. One time they actually spoke to me and said something about coupons and gave me one of my old addresses from over a year ago. I'm going to try and see if my iPhone has a block feature. 3-4x/day is ridiculous.

There are apps for that but I think you have to jailbreak your iPhone first.
You could give them a silent ring tone.
