I ignored the call and then called right back. It rang once and then I heard this: "The number you have reached is not in service. This is a recording." It was not a "professional" sounding message like one would hear from the likes of AT&T or Verizon. Likely a spoofed number by a scammer.

i called it back and was a non working number
i was unable to leave a message or speak with anyone.
after further research i discovered it was a telemarketer located in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

I come in at 6am and that recording is always on the answering machine saying please press one now. Like others I have called back and the same recording is saying that the number is not in service. To bad we can't leave them the same annoying message.

The people are illegally spoofing the phone system to tell you they are calling from 405-293-8500.

The company doing this is "29Prime" (www.29prime.com). Their real phone number is 949-777-6616, and they are located in Orange County. When they call with their Robot, it says they are Google's 411 service calling to help you with your website. In reality they are selling fake SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services.

When they call, if you hang on and get attached to an attendant, they will try to sell you. Tell her you can't hear her and offer to call her back. Then she'll give you the company's real phone number to call her on (949-777-6616 or their toll free 888-416-0273). They have ads on Craigslist trying to hire phone operators to cheat people.

If you want to shut them down, report them to the FCC and they'll be fined $10,000 for each call they make ... since telemarketing call are against the law in the US.  Just go to

and file a complaint. It won't take you but 5 minutes, and it'll cost them $10,000, LOL

Jason Martin, lead technologist at 29Prime, is a member of the "San Diego Search Engine Optimization Meetup Group" (http://www.meetup.com/sandiegoseo/). If you don't like the business practices of the members of this group, after you file a complaint with the FCC (above), visit their website to let them know you won't be using SEO services from their members. Maybe they'll do something about members who use illegal tactics?

I just received a call from this number on January 31st, 2011 at 3:11 PM- I can't make that up. I tried calling them back, and couldn't talk with anybody. Apparently, the number got disconnected within 30 seconds of them calling me.

This number is apparently GOOG411 or 29Prime. I have been receiving calls like this almost daily from people and companies trying to solicit crap, like service on Google for my company that I don't own, or from disconnected numbers.

I have tried putting my phone number on the national do not call registry at http://www.donotcall.org but that doesn't seem to work. I still receive phone calls from soliciters after more than two years, and don't have the money to hire a lawyer.

What should I do? How do I take care of this? What can I do to get these calls to stop? I have searched other numbers on Google, but can’t seem to get an answer. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Please, I want somebody to let me know via YouTube. My username is IAmTheEnd1000. If you Google search it exactly how I typed it, you will find my YouTube channel. I am not trying to do this to get subscribers to my channel. I am doing this because this is the easiest way for me to get in contact with people who have had the same problem as I am having with these callers.

Please- somebody message me. Tell me what I can do, because these people hang up before I can tell them that I do not want to be on their calling list. Half of the time, when I call these numbers back, I can’t reach anybody because the number suddenly became “Out of Service”… The rest of the time, it is either a toll free number or an out-of-state number.

Saw this number and wrote it down, but didn't pick up and let it roll to voicemail.  They didn't leave a message.  Googled this number, and yep, as I suspected, it wasn't worth picking up the receiver!

This number calls my company all the time, when I answer it hangs up.

I HAVE RECEIVED A CALL FROM THESE [***] BEFORE - FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER.  SINCE THE NUMBER IS SPOOFED, I SUPPOSE THEY COULD USE ANY NUMBER THEY WANTED.  
WHEN THEY CALLED BEFORE, I TOLD THEM I WAS ALREADY AT THE TOP OF GOOGLE'S LISTING.  THE GIRL WAS TAKEN ABACK AND SAID "OK" AND HUNG UP....

Recorded message claiming to be Google and wanting to update information.  Not legit.

Received call at work (a church office) 2:45 pm 5/5/11.  Recorded message regarding free update to our Google account.  (What Google account?)    Caller ID had this number and OKLAHOMA in place of company name.  Most likely a cell phone.  

I've noticed lately that I'm getting telemarketing calls at home too despite being on the National DoNot Call list.  It appears they are bypassing that by using cell phones instead of a company based landline.  Could be someone from Google doing that, or a phishing expedition by someone masquerading as them.

Just called our 2 person clinical office...a few seconds after I completed my call-answer script, there was a loud rush of white noise/background noise, then click... 11:32 am est

Saw this number come up on phone.  Did not answer (they didn't leave a voicemail either).

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset.  COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.  
They work beautifully!  These phones also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.
