- unknownCalling claiming to be DEA, claiming warrant out for arrest. Pay 2500 and that will clear. Very big scam.
- Scott| 2 repliesHad the same phone call 4 hours ago. Bogus DEA with a warrant for my arrest and If did not pay
$2500.00 via our phone conversation he had agents ready to arrest me. He also had a Judge in his office (how convenient) to dismis the charges as soon I paid. Itold him my battery was running low and I would return his call. I called my local DEA office, they were wonderful to work with and gave me some good information on this SCAN. I called the guy back and advised him of my conversation
with the Local DEA Office - He hung up immediately .... Please do not give this guy anything...
The DEA made it very clear that they NEVER ask for any form of payment over the phone for any reason !!!- Caller: FAKE DEA
- Call type: Prank
- Tamara McKie replies to ScottThank you for posting. I just got the same call, they left a message to call them back or I’d be arrested etc. I knew the idiot was a fake so I didn’t return the call. He stuttered and actually gave me the wrong area code but the number he called from showed up on my phone with the correct area code. Idiot.

- tomGot a voice message (on 4/19/12, about noon) from 405-563-3242 saying he is a Sargeant Angelie or Angeles of the LA DEA office and it was important I call him back ASAP, they had a search warrant and an arrest warrent. I was scared sh**less and then I did a little research online and discovered these other posts about this number to my relief. Also I called the number back and it sounded like a different guy. The first guy sounded Latino, the second guy Brooklyn. And then I looked up the area code and why would a Los Angeles DEA guy be calling from Oklahoma?
- Rabbi KarpovPhoned, left no message.
- Caller: I have no clue. Left no message.
- BotheredLeft message saying same exact thing. Going to authorities with this one.
- Retired PoliceMy cousin called me, concerned about getting a call from this number claiming to be a DEA agent with an arrest for her. SURPRISE.....I am a high ranking police officer (retired) and I attended the FBI National Academy and the DEA Drug Unit Commanders Academy. I called the number and no one answered. Some man with an (unidentifiable) accent called me back shortly.
I told him who I was, and he began swearing at me, telling me that I am "an American [***]". So, I called a buddy assigned to a DEA Task Force and reported this incident. TOTAL SCAM. I worked with Federal Agents over the years, and they don't ask for personal information over the phone, nor do they want money (over the phone) for a warrant.- Caller: unknown
