- annI got 4 calls from these ppl on Saturday and no voice mail
- Channa| 1 replyThese people call all the time, day or night, 7 days a week. First they blew up my cell phone, which I have NO idea how they got the number because it is not on my account. Then they blew up the home phone and finally the work phone. I thought they could only call so many times in a day. Can they call so many times a day per phone or is it so many times a day...period? Rarely do they leave a message, but when one happens to get recorded, the female on the line is getting angry, wondering why I don't say anything. Do they not realize the difference between when someone live answers the phone versus voicemail?
- Caller: Credit One
- Call type: Debt collector
- ash| 1 replyughhh. idk how these people got MY cell phone number. my husband has an account with them and they have been calling off the hook! they only let it ring for a second and then they hang up. it is 10pm here and they just called again. isn't there some kind of rule against that?

- ms_manners replies to edawg| 1 replyDude, you are rude. That is not the only reason people get these calls. Have some manners
- Alfalfa replies to ms_mannersApologists for the debt collection industry don't know the meaning of the word.
- Resident47 replies to ChannaWorking here from the assumption that the caller is Intelligent Collections Systems / IC Systems in Saint Paul, and therefore a third party collection agency ....
Federal law sets no numeric limit on collection calls. If you want a number, look at your state law, but I doubt you'll find one. However, a call pattern which is annoying or harassing is illegal. I don't know about you, but I'm annoyed past three calls a day or ten a week ... depends on my mood. I would add that the furious skip tracing is likely illegal if they already heard from you on a valid personal number to begin with.
The irrational lady rep gets annoyed because her commission is riding on your response. Too bad for her. - Resident47 replies to ashThough it doesn't apply to debt collectors, I like to use the Telemarketing Sales Rule benchmarks. A sales call is not considered "abandoned" when the dialer "allows the telephone to ring for 15 seconds or four rings before disconnecting an unanswered call". Callers subject to TSR are expected to keep their hit 'n' run duds below 03% of all calls made.

When a debt collector exhibits an excess of call abandonment, I consider that an annoyance, possibly deliberate, and therefore violating FDCPA. Any call reaching you past 21:00 in your time zone is absolutely illegal. - Resident47Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Most are simple to exercise if you only learn how. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. See also if your state laws grant additional or stronger rights.

- NICE replies to CarolWe rather talk to people we can understand and the connection on top of that is frustrating so I refuse to answer to them, plus they are very rude and talk over you, they dont care thats why i dont care either anymore and dont answer at all.
- John BI have no debt & a perfect credit history, and these people keep calling me without leaving any message.
Did research on the web, thanks to sites like this one, all their numbers are widely known and published.
They may *think* they can collect something by harassing people so that's my guess of why they keep doing it.
I have no intention of answering their calls ever. I don't have time and inclination for that.
I just keep adding their numbers to my ever growing block list.
I wonder when they will run out of numbers :) - mikein the last 4 weeks I have received about 10 different calls daily in different area codes from these Indians. I applied for a credit card through credit 1. Upon activating it I was already - $75 on the account. I called them and they said it was in the fine print rudely. They said they would be willing to take $25 off. I told them to take a long walk off a short pier they are not going to see a dime for me.the scum bags are full blown fraud. Every time a new number calls I automatically block it eventually they will have to run out of some type of phone number in the world. In the meantime when I'm out with my friends I'll have one of them answer and have fun with them. not to mention the APR in one month Went From .08 to 22. 20 credit one is very similar name to Capital One it is fraud all around. Be sure to continued to write complaints. thanks scumbag talk to you in about an hour. As many phone numbers they have I have blocking ability. plus I declared bankruptcy once I have no problem doing it again. You ain't going to see a dime from the paL
