Some vague telemarketer message calling to determine if I had diabetes.. annoying.  they get my name off some list and assume I might be a diabetic due to age.. i am old, but no diabetes.  So I assume they are "back dooring"  from an existing Medicare list.. sons of bushes.

Someone at the above phone called but neither answered nor hung up.
I returned the call and was told to press "1" if I didn't want any more calls.
Which I did.

Could pressing 1 have opened me up to a scam of any type?.

Said they were updating their yellow page online listing and needed to get information from me.  Of course the listing was for a fee, because according to what the telemarketer said, nothing in life is free.

For over a year I have received calls from this number.  I have stated I'm not interested, I've hung up on them, but they continue to call.  These people are relentless and a nusiance.  What can be done to stop these calls?

I just received a call from this number which my caller ID showed as Montana since I don't know anyone in Montana I didn't bother to answer it.  I make it a policy to not answer calls from numbers that have caller ID's such as unknown, unknown caller, number unavailable, or when they are from places I have no friends or family living.

You can file complaints on these calls with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and when they get enough complaints the number will be investigated.

They keep calling my number and even though I indicate that I want to be on the no caller list they never stop calling. I really wish the nmber would get investigated so everyone could stop receiving the call. It is almost every day, now that the call is placed to my home phone number. A real nuisance in every way.

My mom just received another call from this number which caller ID shows as Montana and they asked for me by name she was vey rude to them saying "NO this is not "name" and hung up on them"  I told her from now on "LOOK" at caller ID before answering and if you do not know the number or ID DON"T ANSWER the call!

I checked several other unwanted phone call sites before leaving this comment here and who ever is making the calls seems to be identifying themselves as either The American Diabities Assc. or Diabetes Medical Supply Co. Please do not answer these calls they can not be legit if the caller is using multiple names to identify where the calls are coming from.

FYI, other responders on the sites I visited ARE reporting these calls to the Federal Trade Commission I strongly urge everyone posting here to do likewise! The more calls are reported the sooner we can get these SOB's shut down!

These people are relentless...I swear it's the same women who has called me..I have told them every time to put me on their don't call list..does not work.

I find it interesting that I recently got laboratory blood work done which showed an INCREASE in blood GLUCOSE. Obviously, an abnormality which was back to normal on a subsequent test. BUT...... is my lab selling my name and phone number to these "diabetic" hawkers????

I have had several calls from these people asking for me specifically and when I finally asked why they thought me or as they say "someone in my household" had diabetes, they responded that someone in my household had recently "called" for information. When I denied this, they hung up!!

They call 5 times per day even though I have yelled at them, asked them not to call, I am on the dnc list and I choose the option to not be called.  Very annoying.

I received 2 calls saying my Dr had diagnosed me with diabetes - not true - but how did they get this info  I am trying to track that bit of info.  I called one of the linked Cos, but they didn´t know anything and didn´t have any info on me.

We first received phone calls from this number about a diabetes free monitor. We told them not to call and put us on their don't call list. Now we are receiving calls at different times of the day and when you say hello no one answers but when you say it a second time a recorded message says goodbye and hangs up.

I called the number back and message said "If you do not any calls for our special promotions, press 1.

I have told this number numerous amounts of times to stop calling. they have been calling for a couple weeks now. im going to report them if the calls continue.  I do not know the person they are calling for.

Received a call at 4:15 am but did not answer. Received another call at 5:15 am and asked where she was calling from. She said Florida. Then asked her if she knew which state she was calling and what the time difference was. She then hung up. Tried to call her back but call would not go through.

Just the worst people in the world!!!!,  I'm so angry!!!!!,  These people call and don't even know how to tell time,  you gotta know if you call Honolulu, Hawaii before noon your time you will probably get an angry person on the other end of the line.  But, when you try to explain to them to stop calling at 5:30am and then at 6:30am and then at 6:45am they have no verbal response, only the nice sound of a dial tone, those idiots just hung up on me.  I'm so angry that my day has to start off with idiots!!!!

They call, but I don't answer.  Apparently, they are peddling diabetes paraphernalia.  Area code indicates a Montana location.  We never answer telephone calls with unrecognizable Caller ID information.

They've called me twice now. I think they must hire people who know very little english because both people have been VERY hard to understand. I also got a very early call. I've blocked them.
