I have replied to a few of the previous posts, but I want to make this clear:  If you do a reverse look-up on the number & it says it's us in Great Falls, MT... IT'S OUT OF DATE!!!!  WE MOVED AND CLOSED THAT ACCOUNT OVER A YEAR AGO!

IT IS NOT REID AND DARCI GARRETT!  WE DON'T LIVE THERE ANYMORE!

    IT'S NOT OUR NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Reverse lookups and other searches are not always up-to-date. Be careful threatening anyone that comes up on a reverse lookup. They are victims just like each of you. With technology today, telemarketers can spoof any phone number they want to hide where they are calling from.

How do YOU even know about this site?  I think you're lying and you're a scammer since that's OBVIOUSLY what it takes to know about 800notes.com.

You don't have to be a scammer to know about this site.  Anyone who has ever gotten a call from a number they don't know kows about this site.  Good Lord some people are dumb...

I recieved a call from this number at 9:17 a.m. this morning. The women said I had won something through my mastercard and that I was going to get all this stuff for free and I was going to have to have to pay like 3.85 a week for this one magazine. She told me her supervisor would be calling me back to make sure she had been polite. When he called I told him I wasn't interested in paying for anything, and that if they wanted to send me stuff for free that was fine. He said he was going to transfer me back to Deanna, the women, so I could tell her that and the line went dead. They had my address, number, and name. I was just wanting to make sure that no one had had any problems w/ them taking money out of their accounts. I didn't give them my card number, but I was worried that maybe they already had it and would be able to take money out of my account. If someone can e-mail me at lil_sweet_heart_94@hotmail.com and let me know if you've had any problems with them actually taking money out of your account I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I recieved a call from this number today 2/11 at around 9:30-10:00am est. The woman said I had won a free vacation and that they would pay for 2nights/3days for me in a hotel (from a select list) and that i was chosen because of my Visa card. Her name was Erika Kendall and was from a company called SMP. She also said I would recieve a complimentary 60-month subscription to some magazines and I could get 1 weekly magazine of my choice for $3 and some change. She also told me I was entered in a drawing for some great prizes on August 31. I unknowningly went along with all of this (I had also just woken up :( ). I'm supposed to be getting the call from her "Superviser" a little later today. After reading these posts i'm definately saying NO to everything. Thanks everyone!

These calls are NOT coming out of Great Falls, Montana.  A company is ghosting my old phone number and using it to scam people.  That's why no one ever answers.  I moved and disconnected that phone number Jan.31, 2007.

People are doing a reverse look-up on the internet (out of date, mind you) and blaming good people for some lame company's low-down tactics.  We've even gotten threats.  See this scam for what it really is, and give credit where credit is due.

Think about it.  If they were legitimately doing business from this number, the business would've been established only 1 year ago.

406-761-4025 called me on my US Cellular phone.  When u look it up all it says is unlisted or unavailable as others have stated in Montana.  Don't these people in Montana have something better to do?  Stop calling us.  I also called it from a land line and all it did was ring and ring and ring.

LOOK AT THIS LINK:  http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=426334 about companies ghosting, aka "phone phreaking", with caller ID.  There are even ads on that page ('Sponsored Links')to fake your caller ID!  You can't trust the number these scammers are supposedly calling from.

Type "phone phreaking" into your search engine.

I guess the actual term is "caller ID spoofing".  Google it or go to: http://www.calleridspoofing.info/.

Got a call from 406-761-4025 keeps hanging up on me.
who is this lady who is calling?
  • Not on my watch...
    28 Feb 2008
I got a call from these people who said I had won the Dreams Come True sweepstakes and was entered in a drawing.  The first call didn't ask for any personal information, which confused me and I cautiously went with it.  Later I got a call from the lady's supervisor to ask how she did (she said she was new).  That's when they went for the credit card number and I knew it was a scam.  They said they were with SMP (Southern Magazine Publishers).

I got a call from them too.  I changed the name (name up) and also made up an address.  I bought everything they offered.  They are probably still scratching their heads on that one.  There is a website, can't recall the addy, but you can enter any number you want and that is the number that will show up on their caller ID.  SMP is probably using something like that.  She said her supervisor will call me back just to make sure I was treated well.  That should be good for crank yanking on my part,  but doubt they will call.

This 406-761-4025 number and a 623-238-6260 have both called my cell in the last 2 days and had the same results. I didn't answer the 623 number, they left no message, and the 406 # hung up on me.

Ok got the call back from the supervisor and she asked for my CC#.  So I made up a number with exp date and the security code.  She tried to run that number and it didn't work.  So I made up another number and behold that doesn't work either.   I asked if they were running a scam on me and Sherry said, "Absolutely not!".  Her number was 229 423 5483.  She said she was going to look into it and  get back with me.  I'm sure they know about this message board probably will read this message in a little while.
