- betty elliott| 1 replyI received a call from this company about a month and a half ago, I first spoke with daniel and he told me he recieved my information from equfax the credit agency and because of my good payment history he could lower all of my interest rates and nothing would ever be charged to my credit card. When I asked where he was calling from he told me FINANCIAL TRUST RESOURCES but my caller ID said JDT & ASSOC who are you realy??? EQUFAX? JDT & ASSOC?? OR FINANCIAL TRUST RESOURCES??? so like an idiot I gave him my credit card info. He placed me on hold for a couple of min. only to transfer me to a gilbert who also told me he would not charge my credit card until they showed me a savings of $3000 well needless to say my credit card was charged and I have not heard from them since they stole my money and something has to be done. when I called them to cancel the service they told me they did not have a cancellation policy and I was pretty much s.o.l so in return i called my credit card company to fight the charge. BE AWARE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND YOU DO NOT GET A "PERSONAL FINANCIAL ADVISORS" THESE KIDS ARE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL

- FRAUD FINANCIAL TRUST RESOURCESThese people called me about lowering my interest rate on my credit card and I did some research because it didn't sound right. They told me that I needed to have a "certain amount" available on my credit card in order to take advantage of this "non-profit" program. BEWARE. The agent was very reluctant to give me the name of the company website but insisted that I give my credit card number. Funny thing is that I haven't seen any of these good testimonials. NOT ONLY THAT BUT WHAT KIND OF COMPANY POSTS MESSAGES LIKE THIS PERSON JUST POSTED CLAIMING THEY ARE FINANCIAL TRUST RESOURCES. WHAT LEGITIMATE COMPANY GETS AN ATTITUDE AND TELLS YOU WHAT YOU SHOULD BE COMPLAINING ABOUT. THIS PERSON IS RUDE AND IS OBVIOUSLY CONCERNED ABOUT GASING THEIR OWN CAR AND FEEDING THEIR OWN CHILDREN. **THE WORST PART IS THAT WHEN I STARTED QUESTIONING THE VALIDITY OF THE COMPANY THE MAN HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!** WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DOES THAT? IF YOU'RE A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS THEN YOU SHOULD BE WILLING TO GIVE UP PLENTY OF INFORMATION AS WELL AS THE WEBSITE. THANK GOODNESS FOR GOOGLE AND PEOPLE LIKE US THAT CAN PREVENT THE LESS SAVVY PERSON FROM BEING DECEIVED BY FINANCIAL TRUST RESOURCES OR WHATEVER NAME THEY ARE GOING BY THIS WEEK. YOU WILL BE SORRY...SPREAD THE WORDS. BEWARE

- Car GalI got an unrequested phone call from an older woman, "Claudette," who works with Financial Trust Resources at 222 Wilshire Blvd, Casselbury, Florida. She said they were bonded with the certificate number TC3063 from the Dept. of Agricultural Consumer Services office in Florida. The phone number she gave me was 877-260-5978. I gave her the number of one of my credit cards along with the customer service number. She verified my debt/credit and said I didn't qualify. Well, if I didn't qualify, then why did I get the call. As others have noted, she did say the big 3 send her company leads. While she called my card company, I did a quick Google and found this page. So I was not disappointed when she said I didn't qualify. Immediately, I hung up and called my card company and set up a new account. My caller ID didn't pick up a number.
- Caller: Financial Trust Resources
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Car GalMORE --- After my call with "Claudette" ended, I immediatly went to the Florida Dept. of Ag Consumer Services Website. I emailed the info I had to the Webmaster. He verified that Financial Trust Resources is indeed registered with his Department as a telemarketer, but I needed to call the next day to learn about any complaints. I called and there have been a few that have ended "unsatisfactorily." I encourage all readers of this blog to warn others about this scam. It appears the company has only been in business under this name since 2007.

- TrinaAs you can see there are some of you that were told our website and our certificate number. If you were not qualified for the program that means you either don't owe enough money or you are currently not in good standings with your lenders. If you are not qualified your information is then taken out of the database and your C.C number is not stored anywhere. In fact the person that was told you were not qualified if you contact your bank you will see that this company did not even attempt to place a charge on your account. If you are qualified for this program then there is a recorded verification that is required by law which states everything that we will provide to you as a customer. Basically, it's an audio reciept. We do follow all laws and regulations in order to keep our CURRENT customers satisfied and our company in good standings. So far everything that i have read on here none of you are actually a customer. I'm sorry if you don't like receiving phone calls and that is what upsets you, but you can just simply tell us to put you on the do not call list and we will
Thank you. - Dan| 1 replyThis scam has been around a long time. Here's a good link:
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/debt_solutions_wa.html
"The investigation of DSI uncovered a telemarketing operation using a 3-person team: a "fronter" or "opener," who initially called to "qualify" the consumer based on his/her credit, a "closer," who pitched DSI's services to the consumer and made the sale, and a "verifier," who tape recorded the conversation as evidence of the deal."
I've been getting calls with this same recording for about 2 years. Here's another set of scammers doing the same thing:
https://complaintwire.org/Complaint.aspx/xqjl ... ZdgDHJgjLAfWk9w
The operator (at a call center) makes sure you qualify for the offer; then you get passed off to a company agent
The catch is this - the company bills your credit card a one-time fee - I think it's $799 - for this 'service'
Here's the Google cache of one of their job listings:

http://de.lirio.us/find/casselberry-seminole-county-fl/banks/
has the same phone number as Financial Trust Resources - however, this bank appears to be a legit institution - so the phone number thing could be a coincidence
Intellius lists a Daniel Irizarri in Lakeland, FL (and in Elizabeth/Newark, NJ)
It also lists a Thomas D O'Neil (age 37) in Altamonte Springs, FL
Be sure to request to be removed from their list, and note the date and time. When they call again, you will need to provide that info with the FTC in any complaint or legal action. Be sure to file a complaint with the Florida AG's office, the Florida BBB AND the FTC.
The guy who called me tried to convince me that my do-not-call registration was expired, or that I had only registered with my state, and not with the national registry.
To answer the FTR shill posting here - we put our names on the Do Not Call list because we like our privacy. We specifically don't want to hear offers from you or anyone else. If you are a legitimate company, please explain why my caller ID showed up with the bogus # 407-000-7777. Also explain why the operator refused to give me the company's address when I asked for it. Finally, a sales pitch that begins with a recording that SOUNDS like it's from my credit card company IS misleading. A legitimate company would state clearly:
- who they are
- what service they are offering
- what the fee is for that service
"I'm sorry if you don't like receiving phone calls" is a bullcrap response, "Trina". You (Daniel Irizarri and Tom O'Neil) are violating the law - plain and simple. It's why you've obfuscated your identity, and it's why a complaint is going to the FTC. Stop trolling the site with phony identities and straw-man arguments.

- TrinaIn regards to Dan:
DSI is NOT our company. In fact that company is located in Washington state and i believe that company is now out of business. Also this "Daniel Irizarri" is not someone who works for our company. You showed 14 complaints listed on the BBB but failed to mention how many were resolved. Unfortunately if the client isn't satisfied even after we saved them our gauranteed savings of $2500 and still wants a refund then it's concidered an unsatisfactory rating. However, we clearly state that if we can't save you at least $2500 in interest overall then you will receive a full refund. We can't help it if SOME clients are STILL not satisfied after we DO save them the $2500 in interest.
Mcdonalds, Walmart, Burger King, and etc have many people that could complain about them and do complain about them but just like them we can't please everyone. Now ask yourself this, If we gauranteed to save you $2500 in interest and showed you that in the first 30 days, would you be satisfied? The bottom line is we try to make all of our clients satisfied but if we have already done all the work and negotiated your interest rates to a lower rate and saved you money then you are not eligible for a refund, because we did what we said we would do.- Caller: FINANCIAL TRUST RESOURCES
- DanTrina:
You might have a bit more credibility if you actually spelled "guarantee" correctly
I never said DSI was your company. I said it was the same scam - and it was. Let me sum it up for you, since your reading comprehension skills appear to match your spelling skills:
1) Phone rings. Recorded voice on other end leads one to believe that the caller is affiliated with one's credit card company.
2) Recording offers two options - hit "1" to speak to a representative, or hit "2" to be 'removed' from the calling list.
3) Calling center 'screener' makes sure that the person called fits the profile for the scam (over $3,000 in debt, but otherwise account is in good standing).
4) Calling center then passes qualified candidate to 'handler'
I call it a scam because (just as others have pointed out) ANY of us with solid credit scores and $3,000 in debt can get our interest rate reduced without your 'help' (and without being billed $800). Your company preys on the foolish, the uninformed, and the fatuous. This is reprehensible, but (unfortunately) probably not illegal in and of itself.
Calling people on the Do Not Call list - over and over again - IS a clear violation of the law, however - and if you call me again, I will be sure to provide all this documentation to the FTC in my complaint- Caller: Financial Trust Resources/JDT Associates
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Trina| 1 replyIf the recording gives you an option to be removed from our calling list (which it doesn't) then why would you assume that would be a call from your credit card company? MY company first of all doesn't have this so called option of "pressing 2" to be removed from the list and we don't claim or insinuate that we are from any financial institution. It's obvious that you have not been called from my company by the response you just gave. If anyone has a legitimate complaint about my company, meaning you were truelly "scammed" then i will be happy to address your comment and take care of your complaints.
- J.Freed replies to TrinaI just got a call from your company and the autodialer script said, "your account with us is in good standing. Press 9 to lower your interest rate". That is fraud because I don't have an account with you. I pressed 9 not becuase I needed to have help lowering my interest rate (I know how to do that myself) but to see which of my credit accounts was calling me.
