Phone rang twice then stopped

This telephone # 407-268-6634 is once again from L3 Communication LLC, except this time they are using a different number and different location, Sandford, FL.

I stand corrected on the company name from 407-268-6634.  It's not from L3 Communications LLC, BUT from Level-3 Communications out of Sanford, Florida.

I stand corrected... It's a telemarketer named Level-3 Communications, LLC. NOT L3 Communications, LLC.  But still this is a new number & new calling area from the last time I got this call.

Got this call yesterday afternoon. Only I.d. Florida call.  I am getting a lot of these calls now from local numbers. I assume they think people are more likely to pick up a local call than out of area. If I do not know the number or the caller identified, I just don't  answer. As much as we pay for phone service, it should be for our use only and those with whom we choose to do legitimate business. Likewise, businesses should not be allowed to sell information on their customers and clients. Data mining is out of control, leading to harassment and all manner of illegal activities.  EXAMPLE: I recently had a situation whereby I needed medical attention.  Yesterday I received a request from Angie's List to rate any medical providers used in recent past. Does anyone think this is coincidence?  I realize this is a bit off message but ît seems our lives are no longer our own in any capacity.

I am getting sick of this.  Call after call after call after call.  I am getting sales calls, soliciting calls for alarm companies due to the crime in my area.  I get the several times a day, where they just hang up.  Why is this going on so much these days.  They now come through as local calls instead of toll free or out of state.  I found my dog whistle and I am really thinking about using it on these calls.  This line that they call is a private line and the only people that have this number are the ones that I gave it to out personally to certain people.  If I do not recognize the name or number, I just do not answer any more.  However maybe if I blow out a couple of callers ear drums, they will quit calling.  Wishful thinking huh?  

I got a call from this number at 8:00 on a Saturday morning.  Who would call and wake someone up at that hour and expect that they would want to buy something from some one or company so rude?  The only calls I would get at that hour is an emergency call.  Also, I am on the no call list - so why are they calling?  Two rings and they hang up.  I never answer a call that I don't recognize, but I do get mad at being woke up on a day I don't have to get up.

Repeated calls from this or similar numbers over a few weeks.  Today it came in at 8:07 am on a Saturday.  I wonder what they get out of this.  

Everybody has your number. If it is between 000-000-0000 and 999-999-9999, they have it!. The just start dialing at one end and keep dialing till the other, thus hitting your number! Google your name and see what you find too!

Don't worry about the government having you name and #, instead, you should worry about the scum that keeps on calling!

SCAMMMMERR--said name was Robert Collier calling on behalf of Florida State Troopers wanting me to donate to them.  First it is not the State Troopers calling you but some private charity or phony scam artist that is trying to get your money and fooling you to believe that they are really from the state troopers for the charity.   Never-Never give money to charities that you cannot see in person. Anybody can make a charity and keep your money.  I told him "I am on the do not call list"  He said that charities don't have to follow it.

Level 3 Communications trying to sell something. I asked if she had a 100 pound Colossal Serpent for sale. She said no. I said, "I got a Colossal Serpent right here. Want a taste?" She hung up. :-)

Yup. Scam artist for the POLICE. This scam is so old its a wonder they make any money doing it.
