They've called my cell phone three times, no answer when I answer and no voicemail.  This is clearly an unwanted call and a violation of the do not call registry.

I've been getting calls from them too.  Almost every other day now.  No answer when I answer... this is weird.

After getting a call and no answer from the other side, I called the number back and waited for the operator.  She said they do surveys for car dealerships and said she could remove my number from their call list so I told her to do so.  You might want to think about doing the same -- make sure you call during normal business hours.  Good luck!

I am getting these calls as well. They started right after I went to Lexus of Orlando. I get no other calls from there - I dropped my car in for service as I had a problem on my way through town.

About every 2 or 3 months these people call my job looking for my manager. I tell them he's not available and can I take a message, they always say no and that they're try back later. I tell them we are not interested in what they're sell and to stop calling here and they still do. They don't get the hint.

I had been to a couple of auto dealerships and then I started to receive  calls from this number. I called and had my number omitted from the call list.

Applied Concepts, Inc is company that is hired by auto dealers in the united states and canada to perform follow up surveys.  The goal is to speak with the person who visited to see if they were happy with treatment service etc.  At first I thought the calls were annoying, but then I realized it was my chance to say what I wanted to the dealership...it is convenient...so instead of justing looking at my caller id and avoiding the calls, I started answering the calls and the questions.  It certainly gave me a guide of what I should expect as far as treatment at the dealership and that they actually care how the visit went...so...I take the calls now instead of being afraid to answer the phone. They did tell me they would put me on the DNC list internally if I didn't want calls anymore...I found out they don't even have to honor that since they don't sell any products.  So, if the dealership ever makes me angry...I can just wait for the call and let them know...I don't have to go out of my way to voice my concern.

Excellent work!  We just bought a car recently (well... a few months ago) these people must be picking up on either the purchase or the trail we left while researching.

For those of you who didn't click the link, this company offers car salesmen:

"Applied Concepts, Inc. offers tools to help any dealer improve these key performance indicators.  For advertising effectiveness, the Company offers incoming ad call tracking & monitoring. It offers Zero2Ten which converts your internet leads into on-the-spot phone calls for your sales consultants.  For improving floor traffic; Applied Concepts can help to convert more phone ups into show ups using phone skills training.  For increasing units & grosses, Applied will do a phone survey of the 80% unsold floor traffic that leaves your store in their own vehicle.  To create more income from CSI scores, the Company performs customer service experience phone follow up surveys to make sure they are happy and come back. To elevate service absorption, Applied provides phone skills training to increase customer pay revenues."

If you are a secratary or recpetionist you should know by now that it is common business practiced to contact decision makers to offer new opportunities for business or savings.  You could be turning away business for your owner and you don't even know it.

I just got a call from this number.  The women asked for my husband by name...I asked who wants to know. She said she was calling for Sanford Ford with a follow up call.  I told her that the caller id said something different.  All she could do was laugh and say....yes...yes...yes.....I hung up!   by the way...we own a Chevy Impla that was not bought at Ford.

I think they get your number from motocycle dealers too. I visited one just 4  days prior to getting a call from this number.

Hey everybody--  this issue is very simple:  invasion of privacy.  If you want to complain to your auto dealer, call your auto dealer.  You don't need someone calling you to tell you to do that.  In any case, remember you have no documentation that this caller is legitimate.  Watch out what you say.  If you have the bucks, call a lawyer.  A lawyer will drop the company a quick letter and POOF, your name will be deleted from the call list.  If they keep calling, be rude to the caller.  Those employees will eventually get the message that they are involved in a very shady business.
The above note by "medexp" is from a manager with Applied Concepts.  Be careful who you listen to!

got a call at 8PM Monday (april 7th) and again on Tuesday morning (april 8th) at 9:54.
Answered the call on Monday night--no response. Did not answer it on Tuesday morning.

Just learned that the company calling is Applied Concepts Inc. --- www.appliedconcepts.net
register a complaint at: www.donotcall.gov and call the company and tell them to remove you from their list.

the person I spoke with said they do surveys for car dealers, repair shops etc. --- if you have recently bought a car, or had some type of work done, expect a call.

THIS IS AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM Applied Concepts, Inc.

First, we apologize for any inconvenience these calls might cause.  Applied Concepts, Inc. only performs follow up surveys and is not selling any products or services.

Although Applied Concepts, Inc. is not a telemarketing company, if someone requests to be placed on the DNC list, the request is honored and the phone number is placed on the internal DNC list within 24 hours (usually in less than 8 hours).

Various companies use Applied Concepts, Inc. as a way to contact customers to ensure his/her experience was above their expectations.  Many of these companies are auto dealers who understand that it is imperative to provide excellent service and what is expected must be constantly inspected.

Giving you the opportunity to speak candidly with someone other than the dealership often provides an opportunity to uncover concerns or issues that would not come to light if this follow up call was not performed.  It also provides an opportunity to compliment professionals that you have worked with time and time again, that have continually provided superior customer service.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in these surveys as a way to ensure everyone receives the highest level of service that everyone deserves.  If you don't wish to participate, that is understandable and you can contact the company to have any or all of your phone number added to the Do Not Call List.  If you wish to e-mail your name for the DNC list or have a comment or suggestion, please send it to Kelli Whittier, Executive Assistant (kwhittier@appliedconcepts.net).

    Sincerely,
    The Applied Concepts, Inc. Team

We've received this call a few times in the past 2 days, no one's there when I answer. I can't understand why, considering I live in Canada and they are calling my home. We did just get back from Florida, but we were nowhere near a car dealership.
