incoming call but then no response

This number keeps calling and no one answers.  It is very frustrating.  Not answering doesn't help - they keep calling even though we are on US and FL Do Not Call Lists.

It is from a company called EMBARQ COMMUNICATIONS, INC. They offer communication services such as local, long distance, so forth. I have not answered when they have called, but I noticed here people are saying no one is on the other end of the line when answering. This is how robo-calling works. They map put when you answer to know when you are most likely home to call and catch you to talk to.

I get calls from this number at least once a day.  It is my cell phone number they keep calling; but, no one on the other end.  Annoying!!!

Called just now (11:46am on September 30). We do not answer these kinds of calls ever! Thanks to this thread, we will block in our trusty call blocker.

Just got a call from that number. Didn't answer and no message left.

Just called and said Mrs Clark but we had a terrible connection because I am in the country where service is almost non-exuberant. Dropped call.  Oh well

Tried to call back but line is not in service??

We are on the DO NOT Call list - & keep getting unwanted phone calls.    This is one of them.

EMBARQ ceased to exist in 2009, when it was taken over by CenturyTel.  This company does legitimate business under the name CenturyLink.

Received call, no message left.  Number has been calling repeatedly the past few days.

As of ^ October 2015 that number is no longer in service, called and received that message. So it is being spoofed somewhere.

I just received a call from this number. I usually don't answer when I don't recognize the number, but answered in haste waiting for another caller. It is now a scam call in my phone!!

This number and 2 other numbers with 407 area codes have called me daily for 3 months. This is extremely frustrating. No one is on the other line when I answer and many times once I answer, the call disconnects.

repetitive calls, no message, when I dial, it says not in service. NO CALL LIST obviously does not work, or they have a loophole to track use patterns. Will attempt to have phone service provider block their number.
