I haven't travelled in over a  year so I would not blame Westjet.  I just didn't pick up because it was an unknown name.

I was phoned by this number at 5:09 p.m. on 18/04/13.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  I was having a lot of trouble with unsolicited telemarketing calls in the last two years, and I took action to correct this.  I'm on a "do NOT call list".   I wish these scammers could be prevented from annoying people.  I would like to know what their percentage of success is.  There can't be that many gullible people left in the world, or am I being too optimistic?

I hung up after hearing it was a recorded call. Called the number back to make a complaint, the number was not in use. Isn't this a misrepresentation?. Shouldn't this be illegal?

Just got a call from this number.  I did not answer.  I don't know anybody in area code 407.
It is easy to spoof a phone number.  This could be an internet call from anywhere in the world.

Returned call to this number just rang, so hopefully a phone was ringing somewhere. If you're bored, try calling it and letting it ring for an hour or so. Any call from Florida is guaranteed to be some leathery [***] with the mental capacity of a walnut. If I ever answer and get a human, I proceed with phone sex.

Called and I stupidly dialled  #69 to find out who's call I missed!! Do yourself a favor if they won't leave a message don't sweat it, no one's worth the .99 they charge to figure it out. Grrr I wish I was a total recluse, I HATE this type of call.

I had the same scam phone call from a guy claiming to be calling from the resort in Cancun.   He was confused when I asked him if it was possible to fly to Cancun from Luanda, Angola.    He said they had a "flight department" that could help me with airfare. I asked to be connected to the "flight department" and then I (conveniently) got disconnected.

A woman had phoned a few weeks ago with the same scam and she assured me that I could fly direct to Mexico City from Angola.  I'm sure she had no clue where Angola was.

I enjoy messing with these idiots.

Do people actually fall for these scams?

I hung on the line and when he congratulated me, I asked why would I want to visit [***] Cancun, Mexico. He said nothing. I then stated that I thought he would want to talk since he was the one who called me. That's when he hung up...lmao

I have had calls from 13062362689 and14074139101. These calls are scams people. I didn't answer the 407# but the 306# is someone calling to offer a lower interest rate on your credit card.  They get you to give them your credit information and can tell you about your credit limit and how much you have available...so on and so forth.  I blocked my card in fear of being stolen from.  I have received 2 calls from them today trying to get in touch with me.  If you get a phone call from an unfamiliar phone # don't answer it and call back that number.  It will come up as inactive.  Check this number on the internet and you will find out more of these fake numbers then post them to make other people aware.

It's not West Jet itself - I haven;t flown with them for over 5 years and these guys bug me all the time.  I would be good to mention it to West Jet in case they are being back-door hacked in some way .......
