Recorded message about my credit card. Tag said Florida. Nuisance call.

Aggravating Credit CARD CALL!!! I don't even own credit cards!!!! GRRR!!!!

Redialing the number produces the message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed.  Please check the number..."

Another call from Cardholder Services with a recorded message.  Clearly illegal.  Clearly the government cannot or will not take action to stop this sort of activity.  Something needs to be done to stop this harassment.

Same here.  I've been on the do not call registry since inception and this is very irritating so I've started filing complaints every time I get a bogus call on both my landline and mobile.  It makes me feel like I'm doing something productive that may help stop these criminals.

They're nothing but scum sucking telemarketers!!!  Don't you just love 'em?

They tried to call about an hour ago.  Blocked call with Mr. Number and filed complaint with DNC.

Our old friend 'Rachel' the Recording, calling about lowering interest rates 'on your credit card..' But I have no credit card, so my interest is 0%. Can't get any lower than that. And the name of the company is 'FLORIDA!?'

I just received the same call.  I figured it was a scam and I hung up without giving the caller any info.

answer the phone heard recording message saying , press 3 to end this call,1 to talk to live operator , I pressed one , a guy name John said , thanks for calling card service's ,I told him if I owe them any money, He said, no but we can lower your interest rate, if You owe more then 4 thousand dollars , Told the guy my phone register with do not call list, I didn't even finished talking , He said (Oh Shut Up ) and hung up , I try to call  back the number  was not valid , 407-454-9999

What can we do beside file complains , This people have to pay for calling me all the time .

Just received a call from 407-454-9999 on my cell phone here in Portland, Oregon. they have been ongoing throughout my business day and during meetings for all of this week!!! The phone they are calling me on is my corporate Blackberry!!! When I called back the recording says its a non-working number...

Didn't answer but they left a partial message about credit card interest rates. Intro was a recorded message that is in violation of California PUC regulations. I guess someone must fall for these scams or they would not be making these calls. Guess the best thing is to report them to various government, state and local agencies.

Same thing, robo call to reduce interest rates.
No company name (violation #1).
Robo call (violation #2).
Called my number which in on the DNC list (violation #3).
Did not provide a valid phone number (violation #4).

Filed a report with DNC (lot of good it will do of course)
It would be hard to trace calls like this.

I received  a call at 4 AM. I have a son oversea, My father is dying of cancer, and my mother in law is having medical issues.  I am overwhelmed with fear when the phone rings, trying to figure out who is calling.  I don't think I can call anyone because I don't want to wake someone and have them worry until I know who it is.  Please do not let this company scare other people.  Thank You vo4261833310075 please stop!

I am very sorry to hear how these slimeballs are impacting you at a difficult time.  Let me offer a suggestion for getting these creeps out of your life.  I am going to assume that you have both a landline phone and a cell phone.  If you only have one or the other, let me know.

First, sign up for a free Google Voice account. Be sure to choose the option to have Google Voice automatically block known spammers.  Following the links on the web page, set Google Voice to be the voice mail for your cell phone (you will have to dial some codes on your phone).  Set Google Voice to send you a text message and/or email when you have a message.  Now, use call forwarding on your landline phone to forward all calls to Google Voice.  At this point, if someone calls your home phone, the call will go through Google Voice, and end up either at your voice mail, or, if blocked, at a disconnected line message.  Some spam calls will be automatically blocked, others you will have to block manually on the web site.  At this point you will be able to eliminate spam callers from your landline.  Other callers will get voicemail, and you will be notified by SMS or email.

Now, go into the contacts on Google Voice, and set up a group for those folks you always want to get through.  Enter in their names and numbers.  Assign them to be forwarded to your cell phone when they call.  Now important callers will ring through straight to your cell phone when they call the house.

Now for cell phone pests.  Assign unwanted callers to your phone's contact list, with "zzz" in front of the name, like "zzzRotten B@st@rds".  If your phone supports it, assign them a ring tone of "silent".  If not, use a ring tone creator to create a "1 second of silence" ring tone, and assign that to them.  If you can't do that, then just use the least annoying ring tone, and know to ignore that one.  When a blocked spammer calls, let the call roll over to voice mail.  Google will give them a line disconnected message.  If you happen to miss a legitimate call, Google will take a message, and send you an email or text message to notify you of the call.

At this point, friends and family will get through, but blocked callers will not.  And all for free!

I know this may seem a little complicated, but it is easier to do than it is to explain.  I hope this helps, and I hope life gets better for you soon.  I'll try to remember to check back in case you have questions.

They keep calling.  I say I'm not interested; take my number off.  Guess what?  They call again.  Hence, my phone allows me to block numbers and they will be on the top list.

This credit card company keeps calling me, and I am on the do not list.  They give you 2 options: press 3 to be taken off of their calling list, or press 1 to speak to a rep about lowering your interest rates.  I have hit 3 multiple times, so technically it is illegal for them to call me (as it was the first time really...).  So finally I hit #1 and a lady picks up and asks me if I want to lower my CC rate.  I say "No, I want to know what I can do to stop having your company keep calling me because apparently pressing #3 does not work."  And she goes "And I want to know how many more customers are going to call and cuss me out today?".  So I went off a little bit.  "First off, I didn't cuss you out.  Your company is a scam and operating illegally.  I want to get off your calling list, and you are operating against FCC regulations by now allowing me to.  I never cussed at you."  And she hung up.  She had the nerve to try and turn it back and point the finger at me?  Really?  Oh, I am irate.  I just filed an FCC complaint.
