Caller claimed he works for Tricare and serves retired veterans who were referred to his company by my physician because I need pain relief cream.  Of course, the charges will be billed to Tricare, so no out of pocket expense to me.  He couldn't understand that he was selling something to me, but sending the bill to someone else.  I pissed him off and he hung up on me :-)

I have been harassed by these morons for a week now.  I reported this fraud to Tricare and they responded that they are aware of this scam and are advising beneficiaries not to give out personal information. At least they told you they were billing Tricare.  The first scam artist told me he was with Tricare and was sending me pain cream that is also good for erectile dysfunction.  Hello, you idiot, do I sound like a man?

In any event, they called me 5 times within a few hours after my initial refusal.  They also call from 866-843-8510.

I just now received a call from this number and I must admit, my language is becoming more colorful.

Anyone with the resources, time - can you investigate where this calling company gets list of numbers? It seems to coincindental that specific phone numbers are called. I wonder if we all have a common credit card, or purchase with a debit card at a common store that collects data and sells it to these slime bags.

These are telemarketing centers that are calling military veterans now seeing if they have chronic pain then charging on average $1,800 for a month supply of pain cream. from what I hear it's been going on for a long time.
TRICARE will be cracking down on this within the next 45 days. from what I hear this happens with tons of insurance companies.
They use something called teleMed and the doctor authorizes the prescription without even seeing the patient.
doctors are getting paid, call centers are being paid by pharmacies.

Google pain cream scams or even TRICARE / pain cream
doctors have been indicted, call centers are doing these campaigns which I can't see you how their legal and I hear they're being paid up to $450 when a prescription is filled. I'm involved in media news so don't worry the words getting out.
I'm not saying that the pain creams don't work but they're ridiculously overpriced there's scar creams that cost a fortune and vitamins that are sub dermally absorbed by the skin.

I want to thank the veterans for their service to the country we truly appreciate you. Don't forget to thank the Vietnam vets too so many of them we're not giving the welcome back home that they deserved.

Asked me if I am in pain. I said yes. On a scale of 1 -10, I said 7. She asked about Tricare. I said I didn't know who that is. She wished me a good day, hoped I was feeling better, and hung up. I never had a chance to swear at her. Darn.

Just received a call from this number. I answered, and at first silence, then the person on the other end said her name was "Lisa", I said, "yeah, so", then click....hung up. Glad to hear that Tricare is cracking down on these. This # goes on the screening list.
