Number listed in Caller ID, but name was "Unknown". Guessing he was a solicitor that was not smart enough to recognize that he was talking to an answering machine. He said my first name a couple of times, but he used the formal version of my name, and not what everyone that knows me uses.
This is a Hilton Marketing number. If you have stayed there, you'll be getting a call. Avoid answering, they talk fast and get you into buying a vacation.
Some freaking idiot from this number has been trying to reach me from past three days. I got a VM for the first time today and he was wistling for 30+seconds. Donot pick up, block them if you can
I just got a call from Hilton trying to sell me a week's stay at Las Vegas or Orlando. I had to hang up on him because he would not take no for an answer.
I was dialed by this number, picked up, no one there. The caller ID identified it as "Hilton". I called back, it was Hilton Promotions. They were promoting vacations.
They offered to place my number on their "do not call" list. I gave them my number so will find out . . .
I have been getting a bunch of calls from them but followed another users advice. Call back and push option 2 right away and ask to be on their do not call list. It was really quick and seems to have fixed the issue. Well worth those 30 seconds to stop getting calls.
I just got a call from this number too and he apologized for calling me on my cell phone. Said he is from Hilton and asked if I am interested in taking advantage of some ridiculously low price in ORlando, New York and some other cities for the next 12 months. I didn't quite get it so I said Excuse me? Guess he figured that I don't speak English, so he hung up. Annoyed. They shouldn't market their vacations by dialing people's cell phone.
If you call the number and select option #2, you'll be put in touch with a representitive and can ask that your number be put on the "do not call" list.
Yeh. It's just Hilton promotions. I just called back the #, hit 2, and told a rep to place my cell phone # on their do-not-call list. They didn't hassle me about it or pitch me anything. It took less than 1 min.
I'm not sure how they got my #, but I probably put my cell # when I stayed at a Hilton affiliated hotel.
CAlled my cell phone alot.....I called back and a lady answered from Hilton. I just asked to be removed from the list and she said it could take up to 72 hours.
Just got a call from this Hilton Marketing Number. Guy told me that since I previously stayed with them, I "qualified" for a week stay in Vegas, Orlando or Manhattan.
Ran through a few questions to verify my address, etc... no problem. Then we got to the household income question. I told him that I did not wish to answer this question. He kept pushing that I "had to" in order to "qualify" for this package. So I made up a low number and told him.
With this low ball income information, I was told that I did not "qualify" anymore and the call was over. What a scam!!!
