Called said he was from the Florida's State troopers Assoc. and was asking for support for the falling officers family to help them. I listened and then hung up.

That was wise.  Charities with "State Trooper", "Police" or "Fire Department" are known for keeping 95% or more of every donation to cover what they call fund raising expenses - high wages for the people running the fake charity.

Calls but never acknowledge your answer.

Call forward this number to the  FBI or local police.

I let all phone calls go to answering machine unless I recognize the number or caller. This one hangs up as soon as answering machine starts.

Could well be the "State Trooper" scammers - again. There are so many scammers, con artists, thieves and third-world country scammers who have figured out how to redirect their calls so it appears they're calling from the U.S. or even from Across town anymore... Had one who called incessantly & refused to stop...he got abusive and belligerent & threatened to have me arrested (? Yeah, sure. For what?) & smugly informed me could keep calling. Which he did until I blocked numbers and stopped picking up the phone. I NEVER pick up the phone until I look to see if it's a number or name I recognize.

My brother had the "Grandparent" scam tried on him recently. Some guy called up, claiming he and the grandson were in trouble and in jail and that my brother needed to wire $1,500 immediately to bail them out. Luckily my brother had just talked to his grandson, who was at home a few minutes before.

By the way, I too am on the "Do Not Call" list. These people don't give a flip about Do Not Call lists. And so-called. Charities and politicians or wannabe politicians are exempt. Am so not looking forward to upcoming Presidential race, what with all those candidates throwing their hats in the ring. Brace yourself! Ringy - Dingy...😁

I get a few calls from this number a week.  If I pick up, there is no response, and no message is left when I ignore it.

I too got a call at 8:30 PM and listened to what they had to say. It was a call For Florida State trooper Assoc. He asked if I would donate to help all the fallen policemen.
My response was: If this is a real call and at that point he hung up on me!!!! I am sure this was a scam.

They wanted a donation to help the fallen officers and their families,I listened to what they had to say and my response to them was: If this a real call, and at that point HE HUNG UP ON ME. I am sure this was another scam to get money from people. I am sorry that he hung up on me because I was going to have some fun with him and not in a polite way.

They use many names E.g. : FAST, Florida Association of State Troopers, FOP, State Trooper Association or whatever. If you ask for a website they may give you one. If you ask what fund raiser is calling if not a hang up they may say "Safety Publications" aka Safety Publications Inc. and APMLLC, Automated Professional Marketing LLC.  They are listed under the 50 worst charities and fund raisers.

Called on Sunday. No message left.

Just checking out this number to see if I should block it.....and sure enough, lots of complaints.  I let the phone go to voice mail and now will block this number.
