Received 3 calls from this number today and yesterday. I missed the calls and they did not leave any voice mail. I called back and it said "Chase credit card services". Why would not they leave a message?
When it is a co that is calling about your past due payment, the only way to get them to stop calling - is to schedule an automatic payment. If they have authorization to pull the funds out of your acct on a given day, they'll be satisfied. I understand how you may not want to hand over that kind of authority, when you are unsure of their methods. If you do not want to schd a payment, then you certainly have the right to ask them to stop calling, that it's becoming stressful to your kids or your spouse - you may get someone with compassion, but it will only cease for a few days.
I get on average 2 calls a day from this number 407-771-0978. Since I don't know anyone at area code 407, I see it appear on my Caller ID and I never answer. I try not to get uptight about it, because I do owe the money, I just don't have it handy right now.
I have received multiple calls at my place of employment and when I answer the phone it just beeps. I called the number back and the person told me it was Chase Bank and when I asked why they were calling she put me on hold and left me there.
I have been told by someone at Chase that it is their policy to not leave messages. Funny how they want to harrass their customers to get their money but don't seem concerned enough to actually leave a message so maybe they can get that money.
This is not a Chase phone number all of Chase is phone numbers ar 1 800. I beleve this is some kind of scam to get on your phone. I would call our phone provider and tell them your getting a call from this number. I believe they can block it and if necessary find out who it is.
Hi there. Almost any number in the 407 area beginning with a 771 exchange is from a company called the Convergys Corporation. They own pretty much the entire 771 exchange. In fact, at one time, my work phone number was 407/771.6055. It's so that anyone within their three buildings, on International Parkway in Lake Mary and Heathrow, may dial the last five digits to call another desk extension.
The number that comes up on your caller ID isn't from any particular desk. It could be from any number of agents making outbound calls. The number you see is the end-subscriber number for whichever telephony switch your call is being handled by.
I have gotten two calls from this number today. No messages were left. I do not have a Chase account of any kind, so I do not who the calls are coming from.
Could be someone put you down as a refference and they are behind on payments and chase is looking for them. Collectors will even call your neighbors and parents looking for you. They pretend to be old friends from school to find out current information.
It IS Chase, and everyone getting these calls needs to take the proper steps to follow through, even (especially!) if you do not have any Chase accounts or you know that you are on-time with your Chase payments.
First get all the info you can from the caller, including a callback number. In our case, they claimed our Chase account was delinquent and gave us a 1-888-694-6909 number to call them back. Whenever receiving a call like this, give as little info as possible.
Now, go to chase.com (or whichever bank is claimed) and find the contact info for the fraud division. Call the fraud division and try to confirm that the phone number is a Chase number. In our case, we were able to confirm that the 1-888 number is a Chase number but we were unable to confirm the 407 number.
From there, now with an inkling that perhaps the call was real, we spent more time on the phone with Chase and found out that an ID thief had opened a Chase account under my wife's name and ran up over $12,000 in charges. Go to the FTC.gov website for specific instructions on how to handle id theft.
So yes, you WILL want to know whatever it is that this mysterious 407 caller is trying to tell you.
They've been calling me every day for the last week over an unpaid bill. I told them I would not have the money for 2 weeks yet they continue to call me. So far today they have called me 7 times. It's Chase. Trust me.
I have now received several calls from this number 407-771-0978. There is never a message when I miss it and when I answer, they hang up. Very frustrating. I agree why would they not talk to you or leave you a message?
It's not chase...we have 2 chase accounts and both are paid the day they are due. I don't owe any money and when I asked them what they wanted they hung up
