- Dr. HarryI got a call from the number 407-888-8888 just this week. The caller wanted to help me lower mycredit card interest rates. She identified herself as being from CARD SERVICES. She wanted me to verify my name and phone number. Hey, wait you just called me. Oh, she was very polite calling me HONEY all the time. She called herself NICOLE. Caller ID said name as UNAVAILABLE. I asked for a number to return her call later because I was busy at the present time. She said that she had no direct extension number. I asked for the company number and she hung up.
This was similar to a call I got maybe a week prior. The auto message says hit '9' if you want to continue. That number was 700-777-7777
411.COM reverse phone number search says the company name to be COLORADO SERVICESS in Orlando, FL.
I thought about giving out my MasterCard Number as:5810417007777777 with the 3 digit code as: 911 and expiration date of 09/11; but the caller hung up. Of course this is a VALID CREDIT CARD NUMBER... Ya, right...- Caller: per 411.com Colorado Services

- bonyCallerID is FLORIDA. I have not answered it, but it appears from this website that it is credit card connected. I do not want to receive further calls from this number.
- spartan300Call from Colorado Information Svcs (per caller ID). Recording said they were Card Services and press '9' to help lower interest rates. I hit 9 and a lady asked who I was and then I asked her who she was. She said she wanted to lower my VISA or MCard rates and when I proceeded to ask her which one of my card they were referring to she abruptly hung up on me. The number was 407-888-8888. I called back and after a couple of times finally got through but each prompt I hit, it went straight to a recording to leave a message. This is a similar scam with the number 850-916-3033 called Toro Bravo LLC that I received last week.

- StrazUpon my answering, a recording immediately started playing about how they were calling to lower my interest rates. Since I have no debt, I then hung up. I too am on the "Do Not Call" list, so would love for this caller to be shut down, particularly because of the potential for identity theft of anyone foolish enough to give them personal information.

- DakotaI just received one of these calls too. The recording said it was Rachael (I believe that was the name) calling from Card Services with an urgent message to lower my interest rate to 6.9% and that I should push 9 to be connected to a representative to lower my interest rates and that this was my "FINAL NOTICE". I just hung up. I can almost guarantee that this won't be my final notice because whoever this is was also calling a few months ago using a different fake caller ID name and number, (but essentially the same message), and they called repeatedly regardless of what I did. I saw on another site that "Card Services" was reported using 347 different phone numbers. These people are obviously preying on the financially foolish and just plain naive people -- and there are apparently enough of those that this deceitful & unlawful bunch just keeps on going. The phone companies need to upgrade their equipment and/or procedures to prevent bogus caller ID info from being inserted so that these people can be more easily identified and prosecuted. Of course, I bet the government could find them anyway if they put some effort into it. Maybe next time Card Services calls, I'll give them a closed (or probably better, a slightly made up) account number and try to sound serious that I really do need to lower my interest rates and see what happens.

- Marie Westerkampthese people called and claimed they were with chase mastercard/ visa and they wanted to lower my current rate. When I would not give her any more info she hung up on me. I'm mad I got caught up and gave her any information at all. I called to tell chase this had happened they did not seem to care. I'll be canceling that card!
- madI also received this call, and I am on a do not call list as well. This person got my name and telephone #. Clearly I was distracted thinking it was one of my cc companies looking for my permission to lower my rate. What will she do with my name and # I wonder. I think this # needs to be shut down. Good lesson for me I am usually nice to telemarketer's now I have good reason to just hang up.
