received call on my cell phone,  no message left.

Repeated calls and hang-ups.  One every 3-4 days.  Waits until full message, then audible hang-up.

calls, i dont answer.. they never leave voicemail.

This call is from Starwood Vacation.

they called me and did leave a message saying i requested information, Never during the voicemail did they say my name, If i asked for information i am sure i would have left my name

His name was "Howard Daniels" according to the voice mail he left

It's Starwood. They are my timeshare Co. For me it is a legitimate call, but I wish they would leave a message.

Caller ID showed:

"Svo 2009-B Voi Mortgage Corporation"

So it's possibly associated with Starwood Vacation as some here have suggested... HOWEVER they are calling from an area code well known for spammers and scammers, and they do not leave messages, nor was anyone on the line when I answered.

Yes, it is Starwood Vacation Ownership, but they were contacting me to book a holiday party with my catering company!

I thought the number looked familiar. Yes it is Starwood, my vacation club/timeshare whatever. They called but didn't leave a message either.

Legit call from Starwood/Vistana. However, if you are remotely interested in timeshare ownership, keep in mind that there is a thriving resale market out there, from which you can purchase for a fraction of the cost of going through the developer.

No timeshare is legitimate.  The fact that they are cold calling in violation of the law reinforces that fact.
