This number says that they were from Avis rental car
calling about claiming that the car we rented in Florida was damage.
We did not have a car rented by Avis last year

funny!  They told me they were from Budget!

Dont trust them..scam!  855-376-3220 is also the scam number they gave

I also received a call from Yvette at 407-949-6616 regarding a car rental that "sustained damage". We rented a car to travel to Quebec City. Called the Avis drop-off site and they confirmed that there was no such Avis damage claim.

Someone called me asking to speak to my son who does not live with me. The person calling didn't sound professional at all so I told them that had a wrong number.

Budget/Avis are the same company, FYI.

Not exactly. They have the same PARENT company, but they're actually different. Here's what I found with a simple search: Budget and Avis belong to the same parent company Avis Budget Group Inc. Avis is positioned to serve premium commercial and leisure segments whereas Budget is focused on more value conscious segments of the industry. You will get the same car for less at Budget as compared to Avis
