I replied to a post on Craigslist about a house for rent and I got a text from them saying that they were in georgia and I could rent the house from them if I sent them the 750 deposit they would send me the keys to the house.

I was wondering if you had any more information on this. We were also looking at a house from someone who gave us this same contact number. The house we're interested in is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This person also told us that if we sent them a Money Gram that they would then send us the keys. We got a strange feeling all of the sudden that maybe this wasn't legit. The house seemed to good to be true, and now I'm worried...

So I'm looking for a new home and this number was on Craigslist so I called they reply with a text stating there that busy that they can't pick up the phone but have enough time to text a hole conversation I turned this number in to the fraud ppl and there gonna start investigating immediately

I seen this ad on Craigslist about a home on Peachtree they said that they couldnt call me back but the could text and email me (AS LATE AS 2AM) they stated theY live in Baton Rouge LA and was renting the home until they returned However the home was just purcased in March2013 by Steven Holmes and if you posted in February this doesnt add up they wanted the moneygram to come to a Latoya Jackson (ummmmmmm her names isnt even on the deed) they wanted a 550 moneygram and i hadnt even seen the home this SCREAMS SCAM i tried contacting the company that own the home (vs residential properties fund i, llc

replied to a craigslist ad about a house in orlando florida wanted 750 deposit but something felt fishy so googled everything and the house was 16756 instead of the 750 a month and found everything out.. this needs to be stopped

I was looking for a house for rent in Craigslist and saw this hous in 12311 Beacontree Way Orlando for $700 and I thought this is a very good deal. I sent a message to them asking for information and told them that I wanted to see the house before take any decision and of course talk with my housband about that, the kept insisting to fill out a bogus contract that he sent me. Let me tell you something was in love with the house, but there was something fishi there because when I went there I saw a realtor company sign with a phone number and I though he told me in the text message that he got to withdraw the house from the realtor company so I call the company to verify the information and they told me that it was an scam. So please always verify before take any decision and if the other part is making pressure on you is better say no.

I got a call from an unknown person asking if I am really the owner of a certain house I own. The caller said they found a house on craigslist (mine) that was renting for $700. They found it too good to be true and researched on the house trying to find who its actual owner was, from the public records, and got hold of my home phone number. After talking we realized that the caller was genuine but the ad was fake, they had copied our description that my realtor gave along with everything else. The only thing he had changed was the price. He had also given the caller the same explanation that he was on a project trip and had taken the keys with him. He had asked the caller for $700 because then he would send them the keys. Thankfully the caller had identified this FRAUD and had given me a call or else some innocent person would have lost $700.
